The Art of Giving – JD Shultz donates Art for 2010 Grammy/MusiCares Auction
Artist and musician JD Shultz is a man on a mission. For the 6th consecutive year, he makes his way to the Los Angeles Convention Center – with a gift under his arm. His gift is his art – a 4×6 foot original painting called “Reality of Dreams” he created for the 2010 Grammy/MusiCares silent auction. Over the last 6 years, his art has raised nearly $60,000 to help musicians in need.

Opening The Mark Taper’s 2010 Season: “The Subject Was Roses” Starring Martin Sheen
Martin Sheen returns to Frank D. Gilroy’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play “The Subject Was Roses”.
In 1964, the play brought Sheen a Tony Award nomination and this time around he joins Frances Conroy and Brian Geraghty. The news was announced by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie.
Replacing the previously announced “Speed-the-Plow” by David Mamet as the first production in the Taper’s 2010 season at the Los Angeles Music Center, February 10 through March 21, 2010, “The Subject Was Roses” is set to open February 21. (more...)
