Best World Series Future Bets for the Rest of 2022

Recognizing the best World Series future bets for the rest of 2022 gives you an idea of what to expect come October and who will be raising the trophy.

Even if you aren’t a gambler, it helps to know how the bookmakers feel about your favorite team. Knowing the best World Series future bets for the rest of 2022 paints a picture of who is the odds-on favorite to bring home the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Los Angeles Dodgers

As of this writing, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the best odds of winning the World Series at +450. Considering the team is sporting a winning percentage well over .600, you’d have to think everyone is performing well. However, that’s not entirely accurate this season.

Mookie Betts might win his first National League MVP, but several key contributors are underperforming or hurt. Max Muncy is struggling on the IL, Justin Turner’s OPS is below league average, and Walker Buehler isn’t quite himself. But if the Dodgers start firing on all cylinders, they will be tough.

New York Mets

Currently, the Mets are sitting at +750, tied with their crosstown counterparts as the second-best odds to win the championship. The Mets are sitting comfortably atop the National League East, so making the playoffs is essentially a given.

Assuming Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer get healthy by October, they will be a real challenge. But with the uncertainty with deGrom, we’re looking at an enormous if.

Houston Astros

There are two squads currently ahead of Houston in the odds (Yankees at +750 and Blue Jays at +850), but the Astros is the bet to make at +1000. The American League is a crapshoot, so why not pick a team that has the pedigree (although trash cans aided them in previous years)?

Justin Verlander continues to laugh in the face of Father Time, and although Carlos Correa isn’t a main cog in their offense, the lineup can still rake. Houston feels like the safest bet in the AL.

San Diego Padres

Like Mookie Betts, Manny Machado proves to every naysayer that he is well worth the multi-million dollar contract the Padres inked him to in 2019, leading the team in virtually every offensive category.

He’s leading in those categories because their best player, Fernando Tatis Jr, is on the IL, though he’s due back shortly. With Tatis fortifying the top of their lineup and Joe Musgrove pitching like a Cy Young candidate, this team could be a force at +1500.

Boston Red Sox

Everyone enjoys throwing a dart at a long shot, and with the Boston Red Sox at +3000, they should be your intended target. The Red Sox had a dreadful run in May, but they are trending in the right direction.

The team has the offense to go on a long run with Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers. And they are getting quality contributions in their rotation with Nick Pivetta, Michael Wacha, and Nathan Eovaldi, while Chris Sale is waiting in the wings.

Learning the best World Series future bets for the rest of 2022 doesn’t mean you need to rush to get a ticket at a sportsbook. However, it never hurts to connect with a professional who could help you place a strong bet based on who’s leading the pack. At the end of the day, you’ll want to stay informed on how each team performs for the rest of the season so that you’re ready to take on the odds.
