Gone West hospitality group opened Warrior in November 2019 in one of the most historic openings in recent Sunset Blvd history. Executive Chef Hung Huynh, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef and with over 25 years of extensive experience alongside Chef de Cuisine Daniel Mallett opened this Asian-inspired lounge and rooftop. Designer interiors and a bespoke cocktail program from Sweet & Chilli are among a few incredible features that have made Warrior one of the most anticipated openings on the iconic Sunset Boulevard in years.

Warrior’s brand image is focused on women being warriors. While the term warrior is easily interpreted with a masculine tone, Warrior’s unique symbol is that of a female fighter. Lounge goers enjoy a female lead as their host.

Warrior realizes that the landscape in Los Angeles nightlife is filled with noisy night clubs or member-only venues. Warrior’s sexy rooftop and downstairs Choo Choo Club adds the best possible elements of LA nightlife into one venue.

Upon entering Warrior, guests see a beautifully hand-painted wall that echoes the restaurant’s theme. The ambiance and decor makes guests feel like they are royalty. The green glowing marble bar and brass sconces add class and luxury to the surroundings. The ambiance paired with a world-class cocktail menu from Sweet & Chilli is simply incredible. The small and intimate lounge is the perfect setting to enjoy delicious bites and energizing cocktails.

Warrior’s design is elegant, sophisticated, classy, and luxurious and includes an eclectic mix of velvet furniture, gold tones, and colorful exotic landscape illustrations that compliments the dark distressed wooden chairs and unique accessories.

Guests will enter a long, dark red glowing hallway amongst hand-drawn wallpaper leading you into the Choo Choo Club, secured behind 200-year-old doors imported from China.

The music is focused on mixing sounds and genres, including modern disco to live jazz. The outside bar glows purple which accompanies the deep emerald marble top while the working red brick fireplace warms up the surrounding area.

The venue showcases a globally inspired Asian-fusion menu that will be available at both the Choo Choo Club and the rooftop lounge. Items include:

  • Charred edamame
  • Delicious wagyu beef potstickers complete with a caramelized onion sauce
  • Fresh seabass lettuce wraps
  • Bbq pork ribs glazed in a palette-pleasing honey hoisin sauce
  • Drunken warrior noodles

Additionally, the menu also brings a variety of delectable vegan options such as crispy cauliflower with spicy aioli, vegan jade garlic noodles, and tempura fried avocado to dip into a roasted jalapeno sauce.

The menu will be complemented with a thoughtfully curated list of handcrafted cocktails, as well as a wide range of beer and wine.

“I have developed the menu for Warrior drawing on a wide range of my culinary influences and am very excited to showcase the results, said Chef Hung. “With Warrior, I have been given the opportunity to showcase my roots and the cumulative experiences I have had along my journey—leading me to Warrior.”

As if there all wasn’t cool enough, New York-based artist and photoblogger Bronques of Lastnightsparty.com fame has announced that he will have his first-ever residency at the new LA hotspot, and Supermarket Creative will be curating nights at the venue.

Warrior is located at 8909 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069
