Celebrity guests, magazine editors and special guests attended the launch of EvolutionMan, a men’s grooming line founded by Master Hairstylist and Makeup Artist Marco Berardini. The event was hosted by EVMAN, 0Three Media and Makeup Mandy, a featured retailer, and held on Melrose Avenue at Makeup Mandy’s official store, complete with signature Eyelash Bar.

Those in attendance were offered eyebrow shapings, makeup applications and more, as well as cocktails and appetizers. Male clients were offered mini-facials with EvolutionMan products as well as organic spray tans. Also, Al Capone cigars were served with Broker’s Gin.
Celebrities on-hand included, Virginia Williams (“Fairly Legal”), Colin Owens (“Valentine’s Day”), Curtiss Cook (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent”), Sean Kanan (“Young & the Restless”), Sarah Mutch (GUESS Supermodel), Tohoru Masamune (“Inception”) and Daniel Nguyen (“Tori & Dean’s Home Sweet Hollywood”).
Berardini has had a substantial career in the industry, working as a male groomer, stylist and makeup artist for the likes of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Patrick Dempsey and LeBron James. He has worked in all of the major fashion captiols of the world like Paris, London and New York and now brings his knowledge and expertise to Los Angeles.
“My male clients, as a whole, had a feeling of overwhelming confusion when choosing skin care products,” explains Berardini. “I saw a need for high-quality, multi-functional products that weren’t too clinical or too kitschy, with an environmental sensibility. EvolutionMan covers all those bases.”
Gift bags at the event included several products from the line: Cleanse & Shave, Wash & Buff, Revitalize Eye Gel and Lip Balm. Nubar was featured in the bag with its eco-conscious nail polish, and Makeup Mandy made an appearance with high-end tweezers for both men and women.
“We are proud that our line is made with post-consumer recycled materials,” adds Berardini. “Our boxes use paper generated from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and bear the SFI logo. The Bag that carries our complete system is hand-made from recycled tires, right here in the United States. Proof positive that to be a sophisticated brand, you don’t have to sacrifice being good to the planet.”
