Stride Gum, the ridiculously long lasting gum, hosted its first ever “Running of the Rams” event in Times Square, New York City, June 21, 2011. Stride’s “Running of the Rams” was a play on Spain’s world famous Running of the Bulls festival.

The Stride Ram and actor Wilmer Valderrama as the brave matador were the official mascots. This crowd-pleasing event launched Stride Gum’s new “Be Ridiculously Long Lasting” campaign. Starting in Times Square and ending in Herald Square, the “Running of the Rams” event featured 50 runners in ram costumes. The hilarious run started at 42nd street in Times Square, down Broadway and ended in the pedestrian plaza of Herald Square with a finish-line celebration.

Check out the campaign as Stride will post one ridiculously long lasting record-breaking video daily on Stride’s Facebook page. If you have a record breaking video, you can submit it as well.
