Reality Cares Produces Achievement Awards Hosted by Michael Yo at the Luxe

Stars not only prepared for the big Emmy Awards by getting wardrobe fittings, going to parties and having beauty treatments – they also made room in their busy schedules to show support for numerous non-profits and charity organizations. Reality Cares, a non-profit organization aligning members of the entertainment industry with various charitable organizations, hosted the Achievement Awards in honor of the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards last August 28th, 2010 on the penthouse rooftop of the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Highlights of Reality Cares Event

  • E! Entertainment host of honor Michael Yo kicked off the Achievement Awards by announcing all the presenters of the Shoedazzle and Hollywood Reporter sponsored occasion by Reality Cares.

  • Carrie Anne Inaba was given the “Inspiration Achievement Award”.
  • Whitney Port was presented the “Style Achievement Award” by cast mate and friend Roxy Olin from the City. Whitney Port is designing a T-shirt where proceeds will help give back to educational systems in Africa.
  • Emmy Award producers Bertram Van Munster and Elise Doganiere of Oprah’s Big Give & The Amazing Race were presented the “Pioneer Achievement Award” by Phil Koeghan from the Amazing Race.
  • Sophia Bush has been active with Global Green and their efforts to fix the recent Gulf oil spill. Sophia Bush accepted her “Young Philanthropist Achievement Award” via video acceptance while filming in North Carolina.
  • The night ended with a performance by pop sensation Jojo who sang her hit song “Too Little Too Late”.
