Rock Out with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock continues to build on Guitar Hero’s successful easy to play, but challenging to master gameplay mechanic to take the franchise to a whole new level.
Exclusive Rock Soundtrack
The game offers a truly legendary track list from bands like Aerosmith, Sex Pistols, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Rolling Stones, Metallica, and Pearl Jam, along with original music composed specifically for the game by iconic guitarists Slash and Tom Morello. Just how exclusive is the music? Well, the Sex Pistols entered the recording studio for the first time in 30 years to record the game’s "Anarchy in the U.K.", a track that cannot be found elsewhere. Guitar Hero III also hosts the sounds of a never-before-heard version of Living Colour’s Grammy Award winning "Cult of Personality" featuring a killer guitar solo. Not only does it sport the greatest soundtrack to ever find its way into a videogame, but Guitar Hero III also allows players to download an array of content post-launch.
Real-Life Feel
Vastly improved graphics immerse gamers into their rock arenas and heighten their visual experience while the new wireless Gibson guitar controllers allow the players to channel their inner guitar gods. Players can customize their own character with endless options to fit their style. They can play along side Slash, Tom Morello and Bret Michaels, whom spent hours in motion capture suits so that their movements and styles were translated perfectly to their in-game characters. To top off the rock star experience – amazing venue light shows.

Game Modes
The arcade-inspired battle mode adds a new dimension to the Guitar Hero franchise. The idea isn’t necessarily to hit the most notes, but rather hit the right ones and learn the nuances of using the power-up attacks. With Guitar Battle, Star Power sequences are replaced with Battle Power sequences. Hit every note in the Battle Power sequence and receive a power-up that can be used to attack the competition. After defeating a boss in Battle Mode, you can unlock them as a playable character and continue to the encore for the set list. After defeating Slash, the next performance is “Welcome to the Jungle” and Slash stays on stage to play with the gamer. Tom Morello plays the hard-hitting “Bulls on Parade.
Interactive Fun
Taking the co-op experience to the next level is the new Co-op Career mode giving guitar heroes the chance to progress through their career with a friend. Compete head-to-head in any of the competitive game modes online to prove who the most legendary guitar hero really is. For those looking for a more friendly experience, shred to a few tracks on the lead or the bass in co-op online.
Your Instrument
Wireless guitars on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii have the Gibson Les Paul guitar shape with changeable faceplates , while the PS2 has a new design in the Gibson Kramer Striker shape. All guitars have detachable necks for easier portability and storage.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is rated T for "Teen," but will be a hit with guitarists of all ages. Grab Guitar Hero III online or in your local game store to release your inner rock star today.
