Prescription Songs, one of the most influential independent publishing companies in music, has just added another powerhouse to its roster. Gino The Ghost, a two-time GRAMMY winner and 14x platinum-certified producer, songwriter, and artist, has officially signed with the company. The announcement comes right on the heels of major news: Gino has earned five Latin GRAMMY nominations for his work with Argentine innovators CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso.
Latin GRAMMY Heat
If there’s one record that defined Latin alternative this year, it’s Papota. Among the duo’s 10 total nominations, second only to Bad Bunny, Gino’s contributions stand out. He co-wrote “El Día del Amigo,” which is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Song. Another standout, “#Tetas,” has been recognized in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Alternative Song, and Best Short Form Music Video categories.
Reflecting on the album’s success, Gino said, “Papota is a testament to what happens when fearless artists create together and push to make something that challenges the industry. We had a blast making this record. I’m extremely grateful to the Latin Recording Academy and to everyone who helped bring this project to life.”
A Creative Force Across Genres
Originally from Detroit and now based in Los Angeles, Gino The Ghost has proven himself one of the most versatile creatives working today. His breakout moment came with Saweetie’s hits “My Type” and “Back to the Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko, both chart-topping smashes. Since then, his career has spanned genres and continents.
He penned “Kills You Slowly” for The Chainsmokers’ chart-topping album World War Joy. He co-wrote several tracks on Nathy Peluso’s GRAMMY-winning album Calambre and helped shape Christina Aguilera’s acclaimed Spanish-language project Aguilera. He has also worked with Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, Megan Thee Stallion, Illenium, and many more.
In K-pop, Gino has become a go-to collaborator. He contributed to HYBE/BIGHIT’s new boy band CORTIS as well as ENHYPEN’s Desire: Unleash and TXT’s The Star Chapter: Together. Both of those projects reached number one on the Billboard World Album Chart this year.
Music Meets Tech
Beyond songwriting, Gino has his eyes firmly on the future. He co-founded Blocktones, a pioneering Web3 music project whose NFT collection sold out instantly, and currently serves as Head of A&R at Hume, a virtual artist record label partnered with CAA. He also hosts the viral podcast Good Luck! with Gino, where he blends humor with conversations on music, tech, and pop culture.
“I’m beyond excited to join forces with Prescription,” Gino said. “Forward-thinking and bold, they’re a team of true creatives who share my passion for shaping tomorrow’s sound. Billboard is about to be sick of us.”

Prescription’s team shared the same excitement. “Gino has felt like part of the Prescription family for a long time as a go-to collaborator for so many of our writers and producers, so I couldn’t be more thrilled to make it official,” said A&R Brooke Webster. “He’s truly one of a kind, as a lyricist, a creative, and a person. This is just the beginning.”
A&R Caitlin LoPilato added, “Gino is a true innovator with a deep understanding of the intersection between emerging technology, music, and culture. We’re so excited to officially welcome him into the family.”
