The TASTE AWARDS Committee is proud to announce the renaming of one of its highest honors to the Anthony Bourdain Lifetime Achievement Award. This tribute celebrates the late Anthony Bourdain, one of the first recipients of a TASTE AWARD, whose legacy includes groundbreaking cookbooks, memorable memoirs, celebrated food and travel series, and a distinctive worldview.

The TASTE AWARDS, often called “the Oscars of Food, Fashion, and Lifestyle Media,” highlight excellence in content that captures the spirit of culinary arts, design, travel, and storytelling. Honoring outstanding creators and visionaries, these awards spotlight influential work that enriches our understanding of food, travel, and the cultural threads that connect them.

A TASTE AWARDS spokesperson explains, “Anthony Bourdain was more than a chef or TV host; he was a storyteller who opened the world’s eyes to the beauty of culture through food. His vision reshaped how people perceive food, travel, and culture. Shows like *No Reservations* and *Parts Unknown* brought viewers to the heart of distant lands—not just to taste but to understand the lives and stories behind each dish. His approach was raw, honest, and deeply empathetic, illuminating diversity while challenging stereotypes and biases. Bourdain’s unique blend of curiosity, wit, and fearlessness made him an icon, and his legacy continues to inspire connection through food and exploration.”
