Your last days as a “single” woman need to be epic. You’ve got to go out with a bang that perfectly caters to your personality and interests. Planning a wedding can get stressful, but the bachelorette party should be the exact opposite. You don’t have to worry about guests and caterers; you only need to focus on doing the things that bring you the most joy. Here are some tips for planning the best bachelorette party.

Make It About You!

On the day of your wedding, there’s no question that the day is about you. However, brides tend to cater to their guests most in the planning, which makes sense because you want to make sure those who attend your special day enjoy themselves.

But the bachelorette party’s all about you! So make the trip about you. You can include things you know your bridal party will enjoy, but you don’t need to center the entire trip around them. So choose a location that will bring you the most joy. If you want to travel, there are many great things you can do on the east coast that you and your bridal party will love!

Space It Out

Don’t let romantic comedies fool you; having your bachelorette party the night before your wedding is a recipe for disaster. Depending on how hard you party, you might not make it to the big day, or you’ll arrive less than your perfect self. And you want to look completely fresh and gorgeous the day of.

Don’t overschedule or have the party too close to the big day. The closest you should get is a week or two before the wedding day. Additionally, make the trip more than one night. Plan for a long weekend getaway so that you have time for all the activities you want to do.

Create a Budget

You don’t want to break the bank for your party because you might already be doing that for your wedding. Create a separate budget for your party and stick to it as much as you can. Leave room for spending money while you’re there. Some brides have an emergency fund for the worst-case scenario, such as the venue not being ready for them.

Check in with all your accommodations before arriving to ensure that you have no surprises. You don’t want to arrive and find that there’s no room for you and your bridal party. Then, you’d have to find another location, which may take you over your budget. Start your confirmation check-ins at least a week before travel to avoid this issue.

Include Your Fiancé

Remember the reason for the season. You’re getting married! And even if your fiancé isn’t on the trip with you, still try and include them. You can design little games around your relationship to feel that connection with them.

Take it a step further with the wardrobe. You need at least one article of clothing or a whole outfit that screams “bride,” but you can include your fiancé on those getups too. Make a shirt with the two of you or just them. The best piece of clothing is a jacket with your new last name on the back. It’ll help people get used to calling you by it.

Planning the best bachelorette party will put you in a good mood for your wedding. You’ll be counting down the days!
