Los Angeles, California is one of the largest cities in the world and its population is ever-growing, even now. Just ask anyone who sits in traffic there every day. With so many people from around the United States and around the world moving to Los Angeles every day, there must be a thousand reasons why. Here are five reasons you should too.
Smart Technology
In this day and age, there is a huge pull for people to move to smart cities. Smart cities, such as Los Angeles, use technology to manage assets and monitor all types of systems—traffic, transportation, waste management, etc. Smart cities are better equipped to manage emergencies and issues as they arise, and therefore are great places to live.
Weather
Perhaps the most obvious reason and maybe the only one you need, the weather in Los Angeles is phenomenal. It’s sunny most days of the year and though the fact that there aren’t really “seasons” may bother some people, most will admit that it’s pretty nice to have seventy-five degree days in November and to never have to worry about driving in the snow. You may want to make sure your new apartment has air conditioning though.
Show Business
If your dream is to act, write, direct, produce or work in television or film in any other capacity, Los Angeles is the number one place in the world where you should live. Because this is the headquarters of the film/television industry, there are also loads of job opportunities that you won’t be able to find elsewhere. Even if you don’t want to work in the industry, it’s still neat to be around, learn about, and yes, run into celebrities at the grocery store every so often.
Politics
California—Los Angeles in particular, is one of the most liberal places in the United States. If that appeals to you, moving there might be a good plan. There is almost always a democratic governor and democratic mayor in power, and it would be unheard of for the city to turn red on a voting map.
Ocean Access
Another great reason to move to the City of Angels is its proximity to the ocean. The beaches all along the coast of the entire state of California are beautiful, with some of the best in the Southern parts of the state. You can surf, swim, or just sunbathe. If you’ve previously lived somewhere without ocean access, you know what a big plus this is.
There are tons of reasons to move to Los Angeles, but after reading the reasons above, you may not even need to hear anymore. So pack your bags and get your best swimsuit ready. Moving to Los Angeles will prove to be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make.
