The Limited Powertrain Warranty for Chevrolet vehicles is for five years or 60,000 miles; this means the warranty is usable till 5 years of your purchase, or if you have driven it for 60,000 miles. And this apply’s only to the parts that are made by the powertrain.

Covered For 100,000 Miles or 5 Years* (whichever comes first)

It has three different types:

  •         Chevy 100,000 mile/5-year
  •         Covered For 3 Years/36,000 Miles*
  •         Covered For 6 Years/100,000 Miles
Important point:

The point to be noted here is: the powertrain warranty warrants the chevy models of 2007- 2011, which are either a Chevrolet passenger car, a  light-duty truck, a crossover, or a van.

What Sort of Repairs Do They Warrant?

There are a number of required defects that are covered under the powertrain warranty covers, and those are as follow;

Engine:

The following parts are powertrain made, and thus they are warranted:

  •         Cylinder head
  •         Block
  •         timing gears
  •         timing chain
  •         timing cover
  •         oil pump/oil pump housing
  •         OHC carriers valve covers
  •         oil pan, seals, and gaskets
  •         Turbocharger and supercharger
  •         All internally lubricated parts such as the manifolds, the flywheel, harmonic balancer, engine mount, and the water pump.

Transmission

  •         all internally lubricated parts
  •         torque converter
  •         transfer case
  •         transaxle mounts
  •         Seals and gaskets.

Drive system

  •         All internally lubricated parts
  •         final-drive housings
  •         axle shafts and bearings
  •         constant velocity joints
  •         propeller shafts and universal joints
  •         All mounts and supports
  •         seals and gaskets
  •         electrical components internal to the drive axle

Roadside Assistance Program

They have a 24-Hour Roadside Assistance Program until the warranty expires, which include;

  •         Emergency Towing: the closest and safest area
  •         Lockout Service: If keys are locked inside

  •         Fuel Delivery: almost a $5 amount of fuel is provided
  •         Jump-Starts

What is Not Included

The above-mentioned services will not be provided if the owner has not maintained the car or used low-quality oil, had an accident and had an insufficient inquiry.

The chevy powertrain warranty does cover the fuel injectors. It is a highly professional and both-end enclosed warranty that is clear to the owner and for the seller. It is easy to understand and has no hidden advantages.
