At FaceX, the skincare sanctuary ditches the traditional check-in/check-out experience you’d find at a traditional beauty bar to give you a quick and easy in-and-out facial.
“We wanted convenience,” said co-founder Jothi Prasad. “We wanted to eliminate the reception area and simply have a bar area that educates customers about our products while also offering organic shots and drinks that are good for your skin.”
In keeping with the soothing nature of a beauty bar, every moment of the FaceX experience caters to your desires, which you can personally customize through their user-friendly app.
As for the facial itself, each ingredient in every FaceX treatment is pure, plant-based and organic with a specific therapeutic function. The five-step signature 30-minute facial treatment uses organic ingredients – fresh fruit, seeds, oils – to promote natural, radiant, glowing skin.
“Organic, plant-based and natural ingredients are important,” said founder Abhishek Boinpally who brings 12 years of salon/spa experience while Prasad brings vast experience as a software engineer.
“That’s where the challenge comes. We can offer better results in under an hour because we have 100 percent natural ingredients. We then use ultrasonic therapy to penetrate these natural ingredients into your skin for optimal results.”
The best part about the treatment is that it’s completely customizable to suit your needs whether you’re prepping your skin or looking to erase the telltale signs of a dry winter face.
“Everything about the facial experience is personalized for each skin type and every ingredient has a specific therapeutic function to effectively target a wide range of skin types, said Boinpolly.
“Our board-certified estheticians undergo rigorous in-house training and certification that includes training in natural beauty techniques and organic skincare.”

The experience is quick and easy as well. Upon arrival, the boutique’s sensors sync with your phone and will send you an app notification welcoming you to FaceX while also notifying your aesthetician that you have arrived.
On the walls you will find the brand’s signature customizable 30-minute five-step treatments: 1. Purify, 2. Detox, 3. Polish, 4. Soothe, 5. Repair. Here and on the app, you can choose from the “FaceX Special” which is ideal for new clients.
Customers can choose from five different options that include:
Neem Purifier – a purifying treatment with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that clear acne and oil while hydrating your skin.
Avocado Radiance – a nourishing facial that fights fine lines while boosting your skin’s immunity against stress and free radical damage.
Coffee-Cocoa Shot – an antioxidant powerhouse treatment that lightens and brightens skin tone, pigmentation, and under-eye circles.
Sacred Sandalwood – a woody antiseptic and anti-inflammatory ochre that soothes, tightens and reduces the appearance of pores.
Ancient Saffron – an aromatic anti-inflammatory treatment that evens skin tone, reduces pigmentation, blemishes and photo damage.
Rounding out the menu is the “Harvest My Own” facial, the perfect treatment for the seasoned beauty enthusiast that lets you choose from a list of customizable ingredients based on your skin type and personal preferences.
Touting a “farm to face” experience, all aestheticians mix a FaceX proprietary blend of organic ingredients, essential oils and essences selected for their healing properties before every appointment.
After you’ve checked in, you’ll then be greeted by your aesthetician and escorted to your facial room which has been preset with your app preferences.
Aside from choosing your facial, you can also customize your room with lighting, aroma and music (including your own curated playlist), as well as the option to put the aesthetician on “do not disturb” for a chat-free experience.
Each treatment room also features an Alexa device that automates and guides your appointment for extraordinary efficiency from start to finish.
“We value your time. We want to give the same results of a one-hour facial in half the time because everyone has a time factor – especially in LA,” added Boinpolly.
