Here are some of the facts:

In the U.S., nearly 60,000 children are reported to be abused or neglected each week, with an estimated 900,000 confirmations of violence every year.

As many as 20,000 kids are forced into prostitution by human trafficking networks every year.

1 in 3 young people are solicited for sex within 48 hrs of running away or being homeless in the U.S.

The average age of a teen entering the sex trade is 12 to 14 years old.

California is home to 3 of the FBI’s 13 highest child sex trafficking areas in the nation: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego.

Even though they may now be physically free, most survivors of trafficking, abandonment, and other forms of abuse are still held captive by the trauma they have experienced. Without a breakthrough, mental captivity can lead to more abuse, addiction, homelessness, even suicide.

OVER THE RAINBOW is 100% inspired and executed by Freedom & Fashion students, each of whom are survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other injustices.
