Katy Perry’s recent hair colors have become an iconic staple for fans. Perry and celebrity hairstylist and Joico ambassador Rick Henry have had a long lasting styling relationship for many years. He created her flawless looks for the 2018 Oscars and 2018 Met Gala and has been her hairstylist and colorist for her world concert tour, “Witness: The Tour” and for the new season of American Idol, which he’s created some of her boldest colors yet, including pink, purple and green.
This past week at an intimate luncheon at Fig And Olive, Henry answered questions about styling and his recent work with Katy Perry throughout her color transformations, and shared some of the looks and how to’s, using Joico products to maintain Katy Perry’s flawless and fresh look.
Henry has been using Joico Color Butter and Joico Blonde Life products to debut Katy’s looks. He turned Katy platinum blonde and continued with taking her to her first color, pink, followed by blueberry crush, then green.

1/4 oz of Joico Color Butter Pink mixed with 2 oz of Joico Blonde Life Conditioner
(Tip: diluting with a healthy conditioner provides a softer or pastel color result.)
Apply to Clean wet hair – let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse.
For longer-lasting color, an in-salon color service using Joico Color Intensity Semi-Permanent Color shades can be used to accomplish this look.

Apply to Clean wet hair – let it process for 10 minutes, then rinse, light shampoo and then style.
Henry recommends spraying Joico Body Shake or Hair Shake and lightly tousle with fingers, to achieve Katy’s perfectly-imperfect look.
