Spoonful Restaurant is a new gastro-pub and bar, featuring Southern cuisine with a California flair, that has hit the burgeoning Studio City food scene with a bang! Located at the relaxed end of Cahuenga, it’s a not-so-hidden gem that is enjoying an instant popularity from its community and surrounding show biz studios.

Bar-Area---Spoonful

Spoonful owner and Southern gentlemen, Frank Foley created Spoonful, being inspired by his true Southern roots. He presents authentic, traditional Southern dishes, beautifully merged with California fare, while being true to the classic flavors and dishes. He has put the same aesthetic and design into his restaurant, which is warm and welcoming with true Southern hospitality. There are multiple dining areas, each with it’s own Southern eclectic touches, including a ‘smoking’ room in the back for cocktails, providing lush, comfortable, romantic seating in a beautiful atmosphere.

First Up:  Whiskey Lover’s Wonderland at Spoonful

It’s a whiskey and bourbon drinker’s delight at Spoonful with over 40 labels offered. The whiskey and bourbon menu includes Southern made, small batch and single barrel, straight rye, Tennessee and white “whiskeys” to name but a few of the variations on the liquor.

Cocktails with Japanese Ice Ball Mold
Spoonful may also be the only restaurant or bar in California using the Ice Ball Mold which creates a perfectly spherical shaped ice “rock”. The intention is not only to be eye-catching while guests sit at the bar but it was developed by Japanese bartenders in niche establishments, specifically for high-end bourbons and whiskeys, so that the melting cube doesn’t dilute the actual liquor.

True Southern Cuisine – Best in L.A.
