Special Forces Veterans Create Deenamee – Seek Visibility on Startup Effort

LA’s The Place loves to share stories about what our Vets are doing after their service to our country. We discovered some amazing Special Forces vets who have come together to create Deemanee.

DeenameeDeenamee (DEE-na-mee: δύναμη: means strength in Greek) is a small business created by US Army Special Forces veterans seeking to bring their unique skill-sets to market. A small group of combat veterans formed this company and developed the business plan and funding strategy in an effort to employ other veterans, contribute to the betterment of the community, and in an attempt to bypass large government-backed loans or the infringement of large investors on the company vision.

Deenamee’s core consists of senior Special Forces veterans with combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan and deployments spanning the globe. They are highly skilled in the Special Operations mission-sets of Direct Action, Unconventional Warfare, and Counterterrorism – from both an operational and instructional standpoint. Their management team also carries the credentials of MBA and PMP with many years experience managing multi-million dollar programs.

Hot Topid: Gun and Shooting Education, Safety, Training – Responsible

Deenamee is reaching out to the shooting community for pledges toward expanding the reaches of the Second Amendment through establishment of a premier facility (Deenamee Shooting Sports Training Center) dedicated to the continued education, training, and safety of existing shooters while working with and within the local community to reach prospective new shooters and to act as a resource for those who oppose firearm use and ownership to help them form educated rather than fear-charged opinions.  We will provide resources for the entire firearm ownership process; from familiarization, to purchase, to developing training plans in accordance with your interests, goals, and budget, to certifications – while promoting safety, proficiency, and fun.

What is the risk and reward?  Deenamee’s pledge to all who contribute is this: if we do not reach our threshold goal of $1M by the end of September, 2014, we will donate ALL funds raised (minus tax liability) to the National Rifle Association.  If we raise a cent more than $1M (and optimistically upwards of $4M) by September of 2014, Deenamee will continue as a project.  Every dollar over $4M helps ensure Deenamee’s long-term success and allows for the expansion of capacity and capability beyond the original project scope (the addition of a multi-story shoothouse for civilian/LEO use, more classroom space, expansion to an outdoor range, etc).

Each contributor of $15 or greater will receive a Deenamee logo velcro patch (hover to view) while supplies last. Additionally, each contributor of $50 or greater will receive a Deenamee coin, the patch, and have their name (or desired alias of their choosing suitable for public display and less than 12 characters) and month/year of pledge permanently memorialized on the walls of Deenamee Shooting Sports Training Center in the form of a replica 9mm round for every pledge between $50 to $74, a replica 5.56mm round for every pledge between $75 and $149, a replica 7.62mm round for every pledge between $150 and $499, and a replica .50 caliber round for every pledge $500 up to $999.  Every donor pledging $1000 or greater will be memorialized with a dedicated plaque of recognition on the walls of Deenamee Shooting Sports Training Center and will receive a 1-year premium membership.

One contributor will be chosen at random to receive an all travel and lodging expense paid three-day trip for two to the Deenamee Shooting Sports Training Center for its grand opening (subject to terms and conditions – void where prohibited by law).  Please consider a pledge today – either way you’re supporting the shooting sports industry and the Second Amendment!

In order to raise the capital required to move their vision from business plan to full-scale operation, Deenamee has created a kickstarter-type website www.deenamee.com, to engage their target demographic. Kickstarter.com is a website used by entrepreneurs to solicit startup capital raising upwards of $1 million over the course of 60-days for various projects. Due to the length of time Deenamee would like to solicit for capital (greater than 60 days) and the nature of Deenamee’s business model (community security through the teaching of planning, preparedness, firearms safety and implementation for self-defense) it is disqualified from Kickstarter.

Deenamee is looking for your help to spread the word about their capital-raising website by word-of-mouth and social media and asks that you follow them on Twitter and Facebook. Deenamee has return offerings of appreciation to those who contribute – from memorialization on the walls of the facility to this challenge coin:Deenamee
