Steaks can certainly be qualified as Americana cuisine, but with Lakeside, located on the resort’s tranquil Lake of Dreams, Chef David Walzog offers international twists on classic American dishes.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of Wynn Las Vegas and to do what I do best in such a magnificent setting,” says Walzog. “I think we have created a very appealing menu for SW that re-defines the classic American steakhouse, yet still offers guests the classic favorites they have come to love.”

Appetizers at Lakeside Restaurant in Las Vegas consist of tapa-like small plates meant for sharing which includes soups, salads and an extensive array of hot and chilled shellfish. A visit to Lakeside is not complete without an outrageously gorgeous seafood tower. Entrées include pizza and pasta options such as Tomato Pizza with San Marzano tomato sauce, pecorino and basil and a delicious Butternut Squash Agnolotti with sage brown butter. Type of preparation from both surf and turf sets the tone for Lakeside’s main courses—grilled, oven roasted, poached, braised and charbroiled.

Save room for dessert at Lakeside as they offer a special “dim sum” cart with desserts in the nutty, chocolate, creamy and fruit categories to choose from.  Whether you’re dining at Wynn Las Vegas Lakeside for a family reunion, corporate business meeting or a romantic evening, the dessert cart is a hit in all situations.

Location-wise, it’s easy to get disoriented in the endless diversions at the Wynn Las Vegas, but if you dined at Daniel Boulud Brasserie, Lakeside is now located there. Wynn’s Lakeside definitely has its own distinct décor with its 1960’s retro feel, but some aspects were preserved from before such as the 17th-century mosaic tiled floor. Lakeside Las Vegas has a bright, super sleek feel with white Carrara marble, metals and leather with burnt sienna accents that emphasize the stunning views of the resort’s Lake of Dreams.

About Executive Chef David Walzog

As one of the most recognized chefs in the US, Chef David Walzog of SW Steakhouse, the resort’s AAA Four-Diamond award-winning signature steakhouse, and Lakeside at Wynn Las Vegas, specializes in bringing guests back to Wynn Las Vegas for his innovative American cuisine.

Chef Walzog began his career in at Lola Restaurant in NYC. Two years later he worked under Gotham Bar and Grill’s Alfred Portale. At 24, Walzog further sharpened his skills under another master, Mark Miller, as opening chef at Red Sage in Washington, D.C. The following year brought Walzog great recognition when he was recruited to return to New York as executive chef at Arizona 206.
