Paige Hemmis presented FDNY Foundation with first “hours of power” donation from Duracell on Monday September 21st at FDNY Zone, NYC, providing battery power to help city resident’s power through the next storm.

To help launch the campaign, Duracell joined forces on Monday with Paige Hemmis, star of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and former EMT, who has had real-life experience on the frontlines and understands the real need for preparedness.

Together, they’re pledging over 10 million hours of battery power to cities at-risk from storm-related power outages, while at the same time educating and inspiring others across America to make preparedness a priority.

Consumers can help with just the click of the mouse, by visiting Duracell.com and clicking on the “hours of power” donation button. Hours of power donations will go to the fire departments in cities identified by a Duracell study to be greatly impacted by power outages due to thunderstorms: New York City, Chicago, Knoxville, Tenn., Springfield, Mo. and Wichita, Kan
