Justin Stein mid-air

Meet up and coming teen sensation Justin Stein. This newcomer is set to be the opening act for Corbin Bleu of “High School Musical” throughout his summer 2008 tour across the Midwest. As a singer, actor, dancer, songwriter, and composer, Justin Stein is quickly becoming known for his mix of pop, rock, and R&B sound.

Justin’s up tempo tracks “Leave it on the Floor”, “Lose Control”, and “Don’t Be Playin’ with My Heart” are capturing the hearts of fans across the nation, as well as the attention of some of Hollywood’s top executives including Radio Disney and The Disney Channel film and TV.  Justin’s single will be featured on Radio Disney starting in late July, with more to follow in the coming months.

Justin stopped by to hang out with LA’s the Place and chat a bit. We went to Jamba Juice out in Studio City where we sat outside and talked and talked. This kid can really hold a great conversation, we laughed, we cried (ok not so much) and he told me a bit more about himself and what he has stirring up. Check it out…

LA’s the Place: Tell us more about your summer tour with Corbin Bleu.

JS: Well, the tour starts July 23rd in Stillwater, Minnesota and goes through September 14th.  On July 25th I’m performing at the Dupage County Fair in Wheaton, IL, which is about an hour from my hometown so I’m pretty excited about that!  It will be nice to see all my friends from high school.
LATP: Speaking of high school, are you a fan of “High School Musical”?

JS: Yes, I enjoyed the first two and I look forward to seeing the third.
LATP: What is your favorite song at the moment?

JS: I have more than one.
Ne-Yo “Can We Chill”

Maroon 5 “Sunday Morning”
Justin Timberlake “Another song all over again”
Stevie Wonder “Superstition”

LATP: What can we expect of your new album?

JS: Some songs will make you wanna get up and dance and others will make you think about that special someone…Hopefully there is something in there for everyone.

LATP: I can’t wait, when will it be out?

JS: My music will be available on iTunes this month.  Expect my CD in stores late august.  My CD will also be available for purchase while touring.

LATP: We heard you’re working on a new music video, what can we expect?

JS: Yes I am working on my new music video to my single “Lose Control”!  We will be filming on July 14th at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura. My video will be exciting, fun, full of surprises, with dance segments choreographed by Shane Sparks of “So You Think You Can Dance” and “America’s Best Dance Crew.”  I CANT WAIT!!

LATP: Neither can we!
