Steve Marcano, Founder and CEO of "My Lil Star" and Flo Anthony, publisher of the brand new "Black Noir", celebrated their mutual successes with celebrity guests including Vivica A. Fox.
My Lil Star knows how to party
Owner Steven Marcano founded My Lil Star Baby Products in 2002. It is the first and only minority-owned and operated baby products company. My Lil Star is an urban children’s apparel brand that provides a range of baby products such as baby diapers, wipes, bottles, bibs and clothing. The line launched in NYC this August and will hit nationwide retailers such as Target and Walgreen’s in the spring. Towards the middle of the evening Steven hopped on the dj mic, and exclaimed his gratitude and pride for all the people that work with My Lil Star to help make it a success. He thanked all for coming out. As well he told us of the future developments in the My Lil Star camp. The big news is that the guys are in works with Cartoon Network to develop a cartoon, called My Lil World. The show is being executive produced by Fredro Starr, whom we all remember as “Q” from Moeisha. Not only did we toast the Oscars, Steven Marcano paid much respect and thanks to Flo Anthony.
Let’s Celebrate Black Noir
With a night filled with celebration, it seemed only fitting that we toasted Flo Anthony and the launch of her new magazine Black Noir. With other successful magazines under her belt, Anthony, the celebrity journalist/radio and TV personality, brought on the cheers when she gave her thank you speech. Flo spoke candidly about how her magazine’s success was a team effort. The new magazine, Black Noir, is aimed to the successful black woman, looking to break through the glass ceiling of life. Flo Anthony had the entire party in a fuzzy feeling, while thanking all of us for attending and celebrating with her on the night.
Where The Party At?
The party was held at the ultra chic Hyatt West Hollywood Hotel on Sunset Blvd. The bar was set up with wide plasma screen tvs. There was a stone cased large volcano that served as the fireplace. On the ceiling giant banana leaves were the blades of the ceiling fan. The crowd was filled stars. Aside from the beautiful Vivica A. Fox, there was also Ruby Dee, Kim Kardashian, Keith Robinson, Lynn Whitfield, and Colombus Short as well as many others that attended. There was a solid mixture of young people as well as older people, which created a positive vibe. The dj spun a fine mix of oldies and new tunes. With the mood set and the party live, it was a wonderful night to celebrate Oscar’s 80th birthday.
And To All A Good Night
With the evening coming to a close, the crowd toasted to the Academy Awards. We danced, and were merry, and celebrated the success of My Lil Star and Black Noir. From the home of Hollywood, during Hollywood’s biggest weekend, the evening ended gracefully and ended on a high note. To all the nominees, we wish you good luck!
