Macintosh users are no longer left out of the loop, as Adobe Systems announced on January 10th that Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Macs is now available for pre-order. Assisting photographers in their quest for the elusive perfect image, this software combines power and simplicity, allowing users of all levels to achieve outstanding results.
Making tasks easier from the most simple to the more advanced, Elements 6 allows users to organize and find photos faster, perform serious editing easier and of course share the final products in more creative ways.
Photomerge
This amazing technology allows users to essentially create the perfect group photo. There’s no more worry over getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time or accidentally catching someone with his or her eyes closed. Just take a few shots and Photomerge will easily combine the best facial expressions and body language from that series of images to create one complete group photo.
Quick Selection Tool
This handy application eliminates the tedious time it takes to select the area photoshoppers want to work on. Just a simple click, and users can single out the area they want to edit. With three different edit modes geared towards different experience levels, even newbies can do it.
Additional Editing Improvements
Using the Guided Edit mode, Photoshop Elements will take users through each step to improve their photos. Also, this new version of software contains new clean and uncluttered screens with new tabs to provide easy access to the many applications the program offers. Other enhancements have been added, such as an improved conversion tool that dramatically converts color photos into true, nuanced black-and-white images.
Get Creative
After all the photos have been tweaked to perfection, it’s time to share them with friends and family. Photoshop Elements 6 allows users to create scrapbook pages, photo books and greeting cards. CDs and DVDs can also easily be burned. Other output options include ordering prints, creating personal albums to share on the web, turning photos into real U.S. stamps.

In advance of its early Q2 2008 ship date, the Macintosh community will get its first peek at the new product features during the Macworld Conference & Expo, Jan. 14-17, 2008 in San Francisco (Booth #S1302).
