Nathalie Dubois Gift Lounge"Even though the Golden Globes as we know it have been cancelled, due to the writers strike, that doesn’t mean the actors and actresses can’t still be celebrated." To honor those who have been nominated this year, Nathalie Dubois and DPA will present the "2008 World Experience DPA Gift Lounge" at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

An innovator in the gifting suite industry, Nathalie Dubois was the first official gifting suite at the Venice Film Festival. Bringing her expertise to this year’s Golden Globes, her suite is offering an estimated $80,000 in gifts per selected guest. With her high level of marketing and showcasing brand new products, Dubois’ suites are always well attended by A-list stars and other Hollywood movers and shakers.

A definite highlight of the "2008 World Experience DPA Gift Lounge" will be the launching of couture designer Georges Hobeika Atelier. In from Lebanon to present evening gowns valued up to $60,000, specially created clutches and men’s tuxedo shirts, celebrities are sure to be properly outfitted for this year’s red carpet season.

The suite will also showcase jewelry lines from Arielle de Pinto, featuring crocheted jewelry that transforms elemental silver and vermeil into intricate weaves, Anna Selena’s beautiful little elephant pendants with precious stones and diamonds, magnet jewelry therapy from Energetix and beautiful chunky turquoise and amethysts necklaces from newcomer Henderson Designs.

Marchon Eyewear chose DPA to launch the Pucci sunglasses, which are sure to be a big hit in Hollywood this year along with favorites Fendi sunglasses. Westside store Scandihoovians is returning from last year’s event and will be introducing Nordic brands such as Danish Pilgrim, Rabinovich and Menu. To add to this fantastic selection, the Gardenia suite will also feature Lomography, which will gift their new camera, Diana, which is not even in stores yet.

Guests of the suite will be duly pampered in the Magnolia Suite where celebrities can get eyelash extensions by Xtreme Lashes, as well as natural products from Parisian Leonor Greyl. Sphatika with Elixir of Quartz Crystal will offer their signature and citrus travel kits. Other natural products offered will include Natural Biotene Mouth Hygiene Kit by Laclede, all natural soaps and sea salt scrubs by Soaptopia, Cellnique food supplement, and lucy b (famous for the lemonade organic lip balm). To top off these fantastic products, 5 lucky guests will be able to go home with the $1,600 massage machine, The Wellbox.

To up the ante even more, Nathalie Dubois will send selected guests on two amazing trips. Located on the patios of the Gardenia and Magnolia suites, Bora Ubora will send the DPA selected guests first to the Radisson Plaza Resort & Spa Kumarakom in India, and will offer 5 and 7 Nights Packages, along with Aryurvedic Spa treatments. Located in Nairobi, Kenya, Bora Ubora, in collaboration with Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa, will also offer 5 and 7 nights packages. In addition, Heritage hotels will provide its guests with the high-quality safari products and personal services for which East Africa is renowned, by offering 2 nights at Samburu Intrepids and two nights at Mara Explorer, their flagship tented camp in the heart of world renowned Maasai Mara. This last trip will have to be organized after peace and safety return of course to Kenya. (Trip is good for a year!)

The "2008 World Experience DPA Gift Lounge" will also feature two new concepts this year. First, DPA will offer a "Baby Gift Bag" which will include Bips and Burp, Modern Me Baby and Fifibear’s Brasserie Frozen Organic Baby. In addition, they will also present guests with a "Paper Gift Bag," which will feature gift certificates from Pilates studio Soma, spa treatments from The Chopra Center and a $1200 all salon treatment from LMG Studio.

While celebrities and VIPs peruse the suite, they can quench their thirst with Volvic and Badoit Sparkling (both French pure water), along with Sweet Leaf Iced Teas. To help work up a thirst, guests can nosh on Millie’s Cheesecakes.

More companies include: an extravagant gift bag courtesy of STUDIO at Fred Segal (including exotic Nectars, BURN candles and Gift Certificates for their Memoire Liquide Bespoke Perfumery), Indian books, Burray Olson tee shirts, Deepak Chopra’s last autographed book "Buddha", Tito Vodka, and Expressive Fortunes Cookies.

  • awesome gifts! I heard that more and more gift suites are going "green" which in my opinion is great. we need to get more people behind eco-products. I heard that paul’s organic soap (paulsorganic.com) was in some gift suites at the last Cannes festival and created a big buzz. let’s see more green gifts!
