Looking for a laugh to fill in your Friday night? Can’t sit by another re-run of “Raymond”? Want to figure where to go to get your grin on?

In a city full of famous names, stand-ups and sitcom stars, it could be hard to know where to find “funny” in a town that takes “pretending” so seriously…and when you do come upon it, have it be really, really good.

Which could be one reason why the next generation of comedians is often overlooked until showcased at The Comedy Store or snatched up suddenly by SNL, after years of waiting for their “big break.”

Yet some new kids in comedy may not have to wait much longer, thanks to the latest production to hit the stage at The Second City in LA, home to live comedy performance and actor improvisation training.

Using the many talents of ten fine actors, "Roe Sham Bo V. Wade" is a hilarious hour of short skits written and devised by the thespians and directed by Bruce Green.

With scenes reaching into the political landscape and just as quickly darting off into the vanities about a modern life spent “nipping and tucking” more than eating and sleeping, the show is a wonderful testament to the power created by writing any idea into a concrete form and running with it until laughter ensues.

For this production not only highlights the gift of humor from all who take the stage, but inadvertently frames its female cast members as three young women to watch – as comedy may grant them careers of considerable professional success in the future.

Playing every Friday night in October and with tickets only ten dollars, the show hits a home run into Hollywood, where there is always the need to see the lighter side of life.

Cast includes: Shelby Bond, Greg Hashimoto, Brandon Petrie, Dan Sapecky, Will Clark Staten, Allison Summers, Rob Twohy, Justin Vestal, Selah Victor and Dwana White.

Roe Sham Bo V. Wade runs every Friday night at 8:30pm on October 12, 19, 26 and November 2.
The Second City is located at 6560 Hollywood Blvd. between Wilcox and Whitley.
Parking is available on the street or in the lot south of Hollywood Blvd. on Wilcox
