Variety Announces Plans for Their L.A. Screening Series

Variety kicks off their 4th Annual L.A. Screening Series in Los Angeles this week, running at least 30 films between Thursday, September 13th – December 18th. The screenings, all held at either ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood or at the Fine Arts Theatre on Wilshire and open to voting members of the various guilds, will be followed with a Q&A session with directors, writers, producers and/or cast members of the films.

Director Paul Haggis and actress Charlize Theron will be on hand for the first Q&A on September 13th, following the screening of their film “In The Valley of Elah,” a Warner Independent film.

Paramount Vantage’s “Into The Wild,” directed by Sean Penn and starring Emile Hirsch will be screened on Monday, September 17. Penn, Hirsh, as well as various other cast members will also be on hand for the Q&A session.

Others already committed to attend Q&A sessions include Michael Cane, Ang Lee, Jude Law, Marc Forster, Brian Grazer, Joel and Ethan Coen, Julian Schnabel, Joe Wright and Paul Thomas Anderson.
