IAMX Comes to LA Full Force in November

IAMXIAMX–the name itself rolls off the tongue like an entwined love affair, too breathtaking for the ordinary person.  And like the name, Chris Corner of IAMX entangles his audience in a sort of sexuality barely containable on one auditory CD.

Which is why, with more to offer, IAMX’s second album, The Alternative, is an epicurean charge of strong, cadenced beats and brilliant, sensual vocals.  Corner’s single, "Spit It Out" is a darkly devoted declaration of himself–stripped bare to those who dare venture into his dynamic underworld.  The Guardian in UK compels the album to be "Like a sleek, modernist upgrade of Nine Inch Nails‘s Pretty Hate Machine."

Originally of the Sneaker Pimps, Chris Corner has made IAMX a solo project in a genre by itself: a dirty synth-pop infused with indie dance, among a fusion of other categories.  The Londonist in UK entreats, "Think Muse, but a little more out there, and sounding both stadium sized rock and seedy Berlin underground at the same time."

Indeed Berlin’s electronica artist is deviously delicious; listen carefully and if the lyrics and sounds don’t pulsate through your very core, then you are not human.  Scratch that–you are too human.  It’s the very animalistic nature within ourselves that IAMX entices through its music, like an insatiable beast finally quelled by a master.

And an experience this passionate must be shared.

IAMX is currently on tour for The Alternative and will be playing at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on November 3.  For more information, visit www.iamx.co.uk or www.myspace.com/iamx.
