Having put on an amazing event in September 2006, world-renown wine expert Joel M. Fisher and award-winning sommelier Adam Leemon take LA WineFest 2007 afloat, aboard the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The event will be held in the ship’s Grand Salon Ballroom. The festivities are scheduled to begin June 30, 2007, and conclude July 1.
Pre-sale tickets are currently available via the LA WineFest website. Also, anyone who’s interested in staying aboard the ship during the WineFest can do so at a special rate of $119.00 per night.
The winery participant list, which currently stands at 31, includes Scott Aaron Wines of California, Great Wines International, and Golan Heights Winery from Katzrin, Israel, to name a few.
In addition to a vast winery representation, the Professional Culinary Institute will be participating, as well as American Vision Kitchens and Shell Vacation Club. A number of restaurants will also partake in the Wine Fest, so there will be food to complement the wine. Barrie Lynn, cheese columnist for the Beverly Hills Times, will also be speaking, talking about artisanal cheese and wine tasting.
