Melanie Segal’s Platinum Publicity hosted the Platinum Luxury 2006 Emmy Suites in honor of the Emmy’s and MTV Video Music Awards. Held at the Le Meridian Hotel in Beverly Hills, celebrities, vip’s and the media shared in the exuberance. Some of today’s hottest celebs came out to have some fun, taste some wine, and collect fabulous swag in the gift lounge.
Segal’s events are known to be the best gifting suites around, and this year’s affair did not disappoint. Cape Classics South African wine offered wine tasting & gifts to all guests. Music was provided by Melanie’s father, South African Grammy winner Charles Segal, who delighted guests with his expertise at the Grand piano from Pierre’s Fine Pianos. Each guest received a red rose imprinted with “Platinum Publicity” from Speaking Roses. They were also pampered with relaxing manicures and pedicures courtesy of Varnish nail salon, and took in some fresh air with InSPArations’ Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. And at Herbal Glo, guests were invited to get a hair and scalp analysis to test the perfection of their perfectly-coiffed locks.
But it wasn’t just all fun and free gifts. The event helped raise awareness for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation & Shannon Elizabeth ’s Animal Avengers. Elizabeth Glaser has been at the forefront of pediatric HIV/AIDS research since 1988, providing care and treatment to people with HIV/AIDS while accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life-threatening pediatric illnesses. Animal Avengers, founded by actress Shannon Elizabeth, is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and placing homeless pets, reducing pet overpopulation and preventing animal cruelty.
