Neal Smith, legendary rock drummer from the original Alice Cooper Group and Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductees releases new KillSmith Two CD.
The follow up to the KillSmith classic Sexual Savior CD from 2008, Neal Smith takes KillSmith Two to a new level of hard hitting rock music. KillSmith Two has ten hard hitting metal edge songs and two amazing ballads that shows the diversity of Neal Smith as well as his ensemble of veteran musicians.
With Neal Smith handling the song writing, singing, drumming and rhythm guitar you can hear the same air-tight feel in each song just as his 2008 masterpiece Sexual Savior. The CD also features veteran bass player, vocalist and producer Peter Catucci who compliments Smith’s drum playing and song writing.
The new CD not only offers excellent songs with a classic metal edge but also has amazing guitarists featuring guitarist Bryan Morrell, who was also on the Sexual Savior CD, Doug Wahlberg who sounds like he could come up with a great lead on any song in five minutes or less, and Kevin Franklin who played the best lead on the CD (‘Anything’) which no doubt had Jimi Hendrix roll over in his grave. These three veteran guitarists took the ball and ran with it and pushed Smith’s purposely morbid songs to an energetic mix of air-play made tunes.
Adding to the mix of veteran players are pianist/keyboardist Pete Hickey who can be seen in the new Squeeze Like a Python video showing his amazing talent, Joe Meo on Saxaphone, Jerry Vigorito on Harmonica, and a few Neal Smith hand selected Cheerleaders.
With most of the songs having the early Alice Cooper influence, Neal Smith pushed the band where this CD is road ready and should be played loud and often. Hottest tracks are Squeeze Like a Python, Suicide Highway, and Strip Down. The best songs on the CD are Die for the Night and Anything.
