The 2011 ESPY Awards Honor the Best in Sports

The ESPY Awards honored some of the biggest sports stars and greatest athletic moments in 2011, in downtown Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, June 24, 2011 Seth Meyers hosted the 2011 ESPYs, co-presented by Capital One and Castrol EDGE, where the  the most memorable sports stories of the year were recognized and awards were given based on individual and team performance and achievements throughout the year.

ESPN‘s commitment to the V Foundation for Cancer Research launched with the late Jim Valvano, and the ESPYs still honor that partnership which began at the inaugural ESPYs in 1993.
