Drago Family Restaurants Introduce Valentine’s Day Menus

In Los Angeles, going to any of the Drago family restaurants is a unique and elegant dining experience. Whether you live on the Westside or the in the Valley, the Drago family restaurants are here for your Valentine celebration. Each Drago restaurant is offering Valentine’s Day menus designed to romance not only the taste buds but also your valentine.

Il Buco Paninoteca and Wine Bar, Beverly Hills

Each couple will receive a rose upon arrival. For dinner, guests can enjoy the flavorful menu selections which consist of Zuppa di Grano Turco (Corn Soup); Zuppa di Zucca (Pumpkin Soup Puree); and Insalata al Granchio (Fresh Arugula, Endive, Tomato, Onion, Lemon Dressing and Crab Cakes).

Main entrée pasta and risotto selections comprise the Ravioli di Spinaci (Homemade Ravioli Filled with Spinach and Ricotta in a Tomato Basil Sauce); Risotto Rosso (Carneroni Rice with Red Beats Sauce and Goat Cheese); and the Linguini con Aragosta (Linguine Pasta with half of a Maine Lobster, Crab Meat and Light Spicy Tomato Sauce). Guests can also choose from meat and fish selections, which include the Costolette di Agnello (Grilled Rack of Lamb Served with Sautéed Rapini, Roasted Potato and Balsamic Sauce); Filetto di Pesce Bianco (Grilled Halibut Filet Served with Mixed Vegetables and Mango Vinaigrette); and Branzino al Cartoccio (Whole Loup de Mer Wrapped in Aluminum Foil Served with Clams, Black Olives, Capers, Cherry Tomato and White Wine Sauce).

Panzanella Ristorante
, Sherman Oaks

In celebration of love, the restaurant will be dimly lit, feature romantic decorations, and couples will receive red roses upon arrival.

The menu invites guests to start with Zuppa di Barbabietole e Caprino (Roasted Red Beet Soup and Warm Goat Cheese). Entrees include the Rosette di Salmone Affumicato (Rose Shaped Smoked Salmon with Caviar, Avocado and Crème Fraiche); Ravioli con Aragosta (Homemade Heart Shaped Ravioli Stuffed with Lobster and Light Pink Sauce); Risotto allo Zafferano con Gamberi (Arborio Rice with Saffron Sauce, Shrimp and Asparagus); Involtini di Sogiola con Gamberi e Pepe Rosa (Dover Sole Filet Stuffed with Shrimp and Pink Peppercorn Sauce); Branzino al Cartoccio con Bottarga (Whole Loup de Mer Wrapped and Baked in Thin Foil with Herbs, Cherry Tomatoes and Bottarga); and the Costata di Vitello con Funghi Porcini (Grilled Rack of Veal with Porcini Mushrooms Sauce). For dessert, guests can enjoy the Mousse al Frutto di Passione (Passion Fruit Mousse).

Tanino Restaurant, Westwood

Tanino is celebrating Valentine’s Day by offering a five-course prix fixe menu for $90 per person in a sophisticated, romantic environment. Although the special preset menu will be featured, guests will also be able to purchase each entrée a la carte. Guests will also be given the option to choose from Tanino’s regular daily menu.

The five-course meal begins with Zuppa di Bietola e Caprino (Roasted Red Beet Soup with Warm Goat Cheese), the second course includes Rosette di Salmone Affumicato (Rose Shaped Smoked Salmon with Crème Fraise, Caviar and Avocado) and the third course features Ravioli Romeo e Guilietta All Aragosta (Heart Shaped Ravioli Stuffed with Lobster in a Honey Thyme Sauce). The fourth course includes a selection of either Filetto di Sogliola con Gamberi e Pepe Rosa (Fillet of Dover Sol Stuffed with Shrimps in a Pink Pepper Corn Sauce) or Anatra Alle Ciliege D’Amore (Duck Breast with Cherry Port Wine Sauce with Heart Shaped Polenta). For the grand finale, guests can top of their meal with Panna Cotta al Frutto di Passione (Baked Passion Fruit Custard in a Warm Chocolate Sauce).

Via Alloro, Beverly Hills

Via Alloro is the newest restaurant in the Drago family collection of notable Los Angeles eateries and is offering a special Valentine’s Day menu. The restaurant will celebrate Valentine’s Day from 5 to 11:30 p.m., where guests will be given the option of choosing from the specially crafted three-course $62 prix fixe menu, or select a la carte entrees from the menu, with prices ranging from $19 to $42.

Valentine’s Day will be complete with romantic music sung live by Italian music artist Augusto, and patrons will be given the opportunity to request songs of their choice.

The three-course menu begins  with a choice of the Dolce Inizio (Lobster Bisque with Pea Tenders); Insalata di Granceola (Maryland Crab with Sweet Corn Salad) or Ravioli degl’ Innamorati (Heart Shaped Pumpkin Ravioli in a Butter Sage Sauce). Entrée choices consist of the Perle di Mare (Sautéed Jumbo Scallops Served with Beet Mashed Potato, Saffron Sauce and Goat Cheese) or Capriolo e Curore di Polenta (Roasted Venison Loin with Heart-Shaped Polenta, Sweet Chard in a Port Wine and Fig Sauce). For the final course, guests will enjoy the Dolce Fine (Coconut Panna Cotta with Passion Fruit Sauce). Guests will also be given the opportunity to purchase each entrée separately, if they wish. Items served a la carte on Valentine’s Day, but not included in the prix fixe menu, include Ravioli deii Fidanzati (Heart-Shaped Smoked Salmon Ravioli with Champagne Pink Peppercorn Sauce) or Risotto Romeo e Guulietta (Carnaroli Rice with Mixed Berries and Rose Petals).
