Anchor Blue Launches La La Land in Santa Monica
Hollywood shopping came to the beach Friday November 16th with the opening of La La Land by Anchor Blue on the Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade.
Capturing all the essence of the hottest L.A. clubs, La La Land felt more like a lounge than a retail space and allowed guests to feel as though they were Hollywood royalty. Not only did shoppers hang out in the “loft” area and browse through limited edition and premium apparel, they were able to purchase signed celebrity items with proceeds going to charity - a feature unique to the Promenade location.
The Party
Event goers enjoyed a first-look at this fun and unique space while they sipped delightful drinks and dined on adorable and tasty treats such as bite-sized mini burgers, tiny hot dogs and fries served by the charming staff. The clothes rocked as much as the entertainment. The party opened with DJ Skeet Skeet and was fueled by the sounds of Cisco Adler and Shwayze who also spun some hot new tracks from Lisa D’Amato (America’s Next Top Model).
The List
Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton worked the dance floor with D’Amato when he wasn’t busy getting all the latest from The Hill’s Heidi Montag and beau Spencer Pratt. Also in attendance was Andrew Keegan, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, surfer Jesse Billauer (Step Into Liquid), VH1’s Alison Becker, and Playboy model Amanda. IFL fighter Bas Rutten brought the whole family to be entertained, joined by his beautiful wife and daughters.
The Goods
The opening marked a launching point for Anchor Blue to complete a re-branding which takes the line to trendy heights with street cred. Tom Sands, CEO for Anchor Blue Retail Group, says, "We’re so excited to launch our LA LA LAND holiday campaign with a store of the same name on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, a street that mixes statement with style.
This is exactly what you’ll find in our Anchor Blue concept store." La La Land features affordable young women’s and men’s Ready-To-Wear collections as well as niche accessories. You can check them out at La La Land on the Promenade at 1246 E. 3rd Street, right next door to the Apple Store. Store hours are 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
