J.R. Watkins Brings Affordable, 100% Organic Spices to Store Shelves
Going organic is on everyone’s mind, but it’s not always easy or affordable to track down every tiny ingredient in its organic form. In the past, organic goods have been the domain of the privileged and the gourmet, but J. R. Watkins wants to change that. The company’s Gourmet Pantry products are the first nationally distributed line of organic spices. These USDA-approved spices, such as black pepper, nutmeg, cumin, and 16 others, can be found in Wal-Mart stores across the country, at extremely reasonable prices.

When you choose to go organic, you’re opting for purity, and J. R. Watkins knows this. You won’t find fillers in these spices - that is, no sugar, synthetic anti-caking agents, or artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Instead, Watkins Incorporated sticks to the pure, unsullied form of the spice. Every spice, including paprika, oregano, dry mustard, cinnamon, is sold in a bright, old-style tin that you’ll be proud to show off to your guests.
Watkins Incorporated has a long history working with natural, healthful ingredients. It all started in Plainview, Minnesota, in 1868, when J. R. Watkins founded one of America’s first apothecary companies, J. R. Watkins Medical Company. In more than a century of business, Watkins Incorporated has built a name for itself with high-quality spices and flavorings, including vanilla, its trademark extract for decades. The company was also the first to offer the money-back guarantee on its items.
You’ve gone through the trouble of assembling that fine meal with all the best, most nutritious ingredients. But do your spices live up to the rest of recipe? They can, with the J. R. Watkins line of USDA-approved organic spices, carried in Wal-Mart stores all over the country. Maybe you’re whipping up a curry, a batch of gingerbread, or a vat of chili. Take your pick of 19 affordably priced Watkins organic spices, ranging from garlic powder to thyme to rosemary to dill, to bring out the best in your dishes.
