The 3rd Annual Artivist Film Festival: Uniting the Artistic, Activist, & Progressive Global Community
The 3rd Annual Artivist Film Festival, and The 2006 Artivist Awards will take place November 9-12, 2006 at the renowned Egyptian Theatre in the heart of Hollywood.
ARTIVIST is the 1st international Film Festival dedicated to addressing Human Rights, Children’s Advocacy, Environmental Preservation, and Animal Rights. Its mission is to strengthen the voice of international activist artists - "Artivists" - while raising public awareness for social global causes.
The 3rd Annual Artivist Film Festival is pleased to announce that this year’s Film Program not only ranges widely in activist topics, but also feature such noted activist-artists as Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen, Viggo Mortensen, Elton John, Morgan Spurlock, Brett Ratner, Andy Garcia, Keanu Reeves, Alannis Morisette, and many others.
Seventyinternational films from around the globe will be presented during the 4-day festival. Filmmakers from around the world unite at the annual Artivist Film Festival to address the importance of art and activism in our global community. Renowned actors and celebrity activists, Joaquin Phoenix, Daryl Hannah, and Matthew McConaughey will be honored.
In the past 2 years, the Annual Artivist Film Festival has screened 159 international activist Films from 34 countries. The ?Artivist Awards? honors the winning Films of the Annual Artivist Film Festival and the work of outstanding activist celebrities.
Past honorees include: James Cromwell, Mira Sorvino, Ed Begley Jr., Tippi Hedren, Mike Farrell, and France Nuyen.
During the past 3 years, Artivist has reached millions of people with its public relations campaign and has received renowned international support. The 3rd Annual Artivist Film Festival and the 2006 Artivist Awards is actively securings sponsors and supporters for its upcoming events in November of 2006.
In addition, Artivist will soon be launching the Artivist Network and Internet Portal for the artistic, activist, and progressive communities nationwide, reaching more than 1 million visitors each week. By combining its Annual Artivist Film Festival, Awards, and Internet Portal, Artivist will now offer extensive sponsorship opportunities to its
