Java Factory Brings Iconic Frozen Treats to Your Morning Coffee Cup

Java Factory Coffee
Cash for your car

What if a Klondike bar, a Creamsicle or a Good Humor Chocolate Éclair could be enjoyed with your morning coffee? Well, now they can, minus the melting ice cream and the frantic search for napkins.

Java Factory has found a deliciously creative way to bring some of America’s favorite childhood treats into the coffee cup. Through its Flavor52 program, the company has teamed up with iconic frozen-treat brands, including Klondike®, Good Humor® and Popsicle®, to create a collection of limited-edition flavored coffees inspired by the ice cream truck favorites generations grew up loving.

And the timing couldn’t be better for coffee lovers looking to shake up their daily routine.

Remember the Ice Cream Truck?

There was something magical about hearing that familiar music coming down the street. Kids would drop whatever they were doing, scramble for change and race outside to catch the ice cream truck before it disappeared around the corner.

The hardest part was deciding what to get. A chocolate-covered Klondike bar? A refreshing Creamsicle? Maybe a Good Humor Chocolate Éclair with its irresistible crumb coating?

Java Factory is bringing back those familiar flavors, only this time, they’re arriving in coffee pods rather than on a stick.

Java Factory Coffee Season 2 Cups

The collection, appropriately called Ice Cream Truck Season, is the second themed installment of Java Factory’s Flavor52 program, an ambitious initiative introducing 52 new coffee flavors over 52 consecutive weeks.

That’s a new flavor every Monday, giving coffee enthusiasts something different to look forward to each week.

From Frozen Favorites to Coffee Creations

The collection features officially licensed collaborations alongside Java Factory’s own frozen-dessert-inspired creations. Each variety starts with specialty-grade, 100% Arabica Brazilian coffee, providing the foundation for the nostalgic flavor combinations.

Here’s a look at the frozen treats making their way into coffee cups:

  • Creamsicle®: Inspired by the classic combination of bright orange and creamy vanilla, this flavor brings a little sunshine to the coffee cup.
  • Klondike®: The familiar chocolate-and-vanilla combination of the beloved frozen bar gets a coffee-inspired makeover.
  • Popsicle® Firecracker: Inspired by the unmistakable red, white and blue frozen pop, famous for its cherry, white lemon and blue raspberry flavors. Certainly one of the more unexpected inspirations for coffee!
  • Good Humor® Chocolate Éclair: A nod to the classic chocolate-and-vanilla ice cream bar with its signature chocolatey cake-crumb coating.
  • Good Humor® Toasted Almond: Inspired by the creamy vanilla center and distinctive toasted almond coating that made this ice cream truck favorite so memorable.
  • Breyers® Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: A dessert-inspired coffee that brings together the familiar appeal of chocolate chips, cookie dough and creamy ice cream.

The fun is in exploring these combinations and discovering which childhood favorite translates into a new coffee obsession.

Java Factory Coffee Season 2 Cups
Some sound like natural companions to coffee, particularly chocolate, vanilla and toasted almond. Others, like Popsicle Firecracker, are the kind of unusual combinations that make people curious enough to try them.

And that’s precisely the point.

A New Flavor Every Week? Yes, Please!

Rather than introducing the occasional new flavored coffee, Java Factory is treating its releases more like limited-edition snack and dessert launches.

Ice Cream Truck Season runs through October 19, with the final scheduled releases arriving as follows:

Release Date Coffee Flavor
September 28 Popsicle® Firecracker
October 5 Good Humor® Chocolate Éclair
October 12 Good Humor® Toasted Almond
October 19 Mystery Halloween Flavor

The mystery Halloween flavor adds another element of anticipation, especially for coffee drinkers who enjoy discovering something unexpected.

And Ice Cream Truck Season is only one part of the larger Flavor52 experience.

Java Factory has organized its year-long flavor adventure into six themed collections: Throwback Collection, Ice Cream Truck, Sweater Weather, Wild Ones, Just Desserts and The Finale.

Each season brings a different personality to the coffee lineup, from nostalgic favorites to inventive combinations that venture well beyond traditional flavored coffee.

Coffee Lovers Get to Choose the Winners

Here’s another interesting twist: not every flavor is necessarily going to disappear once its limited-edition run ends.

Java Factory is inviting consumers to vote for their favorites through a leaderboard on its website. The highest-rated coffees will have the opportunity to earn permanent spots in the company’s lineup, while the others will retire when Flavor52 concludes.

It’s a clever way to make coffee drinkers part of the process. Instead of simply buying whatever flavors a company decides to produce, customers can help determine which ones deserve an encore.

That also makes trying the different varieties more interesting. A flavor that sounds unusual on paper might turn out to be a surprise favorite.

There’s More to These Flavors Than a Clever Name

Turning an ice cream bar into a coffee flavor isn’t quite as simple as adding a little chocolate or vanilla.

Java Factory works with Flavor & Fragrance Specialties (FFS), a division of Lucta, to develop and refine the different creations.

The development process considers the aroma, taste and overall sensory experience associated with the original treats, while making sure the flavors work with the coffee itself.

After all, a Good Humor Toasted Almond bar has a very different flavor profile from a Popsicle Firecracker. Capturing those distinctions in a cup of coffee takes more thought than simply giving the pods nostalgic names.

The coffee itself is also an important part of the equation. Every release uses specialty-grade, 100% Arabica Brazilian coffee, giving the collection a consistent foundation even as the flavor inspirations change dramatically.

Java Factory Has Its Sights on a World Record

As if launching 52 flavors in 52 weeks weren’t ambitious enough, Java Factory is also pursuing a Guinness World Records title for the most unique coffee flavors introduced by a coffee brand within a single year.

The Flavor52 program is scheduled to wrap up at the 2027 Summer Fancy Food Show, where the company plans to reveal its final flavor.

According to Steven Schrieber, President of Java Factory, the concept comes from observing how frequently snack, candy and ice cream brands introduce inventive new products and collaborations.

Java Factory wants to bring that same spirit of experimentation to flavored coffee, a category traditionally associated with a relatively predictable assortment of hazelnut, French vanilla, caramel and seasonal pumpkin spice.

A Little Nostalgia With Every Sip

There’s something appealing about taking familiar childhood flavors and giving them a grown-up twist. Coffee is already one of those daily pleasures people look forward to, and Java Factory has found a way to make it a little more playful.

Whether it’s the chocolatey nostalgia of a Klondike bar, the creamy citrus inspiration of a Creamsicle or the curiosity of trying a Firecracker-flavored coffee, this collection offers an entertaining departure from the usual morning brew.

And with 52 flavors rolling out over the course of a year, there’s plenty of opportunity to find a new favorite.

Coffee lovers can explore the collection, follow upcoming releases and vote for the flavors they want to keep at Java Factory.

Who knew the ice cream truck would eventually find its way into the coffee maker?
