BeachLife Festival 2026 returns to the Redondo Beach waterfront May 1–3 with the announcement of its SpeakEasy Stage lineup, offering fans a chance to see rock icons and punk favorites perform in a more intimate setting.

Southern California’s beloved coastal music celebration is bringing back one of its most distinctive experiences. BeachLife Festival, taking place May 1–3, 2026 on the picturesque waterfront in Redondo Beach, California, has officially revealed the lineup for its SpeakEasy Stage presented by STōK Cold Brew Coffee. The stage offers something fans rarely get to see: legendary artists performing stripped-down, reimagined versions of songs from their catalogs in a relaxed, intimate setting that perfectly fits the festival’s laid-back beach culture.

While the festival’s larger stages deliver full-scale performances from global headliners, the SpeakEasy Stage creates a completely different atmosphere. Here, artists step away from the big production and deliver something closer to a living room performance. It is raw, personal, and often full of surprises.

This year’s SpeakEasy lineup blends iconic punk figures, respected singer-songwriters, and emerging artists who bring a distinct Southern California spirit to the festival.

Scheduled performers include Mike Watt of Minutemen and Dos, Jim Lindberg of Pennywise, Jen Pop from The Bombpops, Jason Devore of Authority Zero, Triple Bueno, Water Tower, Hendrix Frankenreiter, The Spinouts, Righteous Waves and Taft Buckley.

The performances will take place across the three-day festival:

  • Friday, May 1: Jen Pop (The Bombpops), Triple Bueno, Taft Buckley
  • Saturday, May 2: Mike Watt (Minutemen, Dos), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Jason Devore (Authority Zero), Water Tower
  • Sunday, May 3: Hendrix Frankenreiter, The Spinouts, Righteous Waves

What makes these performances special is the format. These are not standard festival sets. Musicians reinterpret their songs in a stripped-down environment, giving fans the chance to hear familiar music in a completely new way.

A Stage Designed to Honor the South Bay Punk Legacy

The SpeakEasy concept was developed by BeachLife Creative Director Jim Lindberg, the longtime frontman of Hermosa Beach punk legends Pennywise. Lindberg has helped shape the stage into a tribute to the South Bay’s deep punk rock roots while blending it with the relaxed coastal energy that defines the festival.

“With legendary punk bands like Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, Redd Kross, and The Descendents all coming from the South Bay of Los Angeles, we’ve always tried to respect that legacy by having amazing artists like Milo Aukerman and now, Mike Watt from Minutemen performing on our SpeakEasy stage,” Lindberg explained. “Then of course all kinds of great punk rockers from all over the world bringing their art to the Punk Rock & Paintbrushes installation, I think we’ve done a great job of keeping the punk rock spirit alive at the BeachLife Festival. And now with our good friends The Offspring headlining this year, a band that played a big part in the punk Renaissance of the 90s and beyond, it all really feels like it’s come full circle again.”

Powered by STōK Cold Brew Coffee

The SpeakEasy Stage will once again be presented by STōK Cold Brew Coffee, bringing together live music and the energy boost many festival-goers appreciate by mid-afternoon.

“We’re excited to bring STōK Cold Brew Coffee to BeachLife Festival as the presenting sponsor of the SpeakEasy Stage, one of the most iconic spaces at the festival,” said Leeni Hämäläinen, Senior Director of Ready to Drink Beverages at Danone U.S. “STōK is about fueling the moments and firing up your passions, and there’s no better place to experience that than alongside incredible live performances at BeachLife. In my opinion, it gets even better with a cold brew in hand.”

Punk Rock Meets Visual Art

Music will not be the only creative force at the SpeakEasy Stage. A pop-up gallery curated by Punk Rock & Paintbrushes will showcase exclusive artwork from artists deeply connected to the punk and alternative music scenes.

Punk Rock & Paintbrushes was founded by Emily Nielsen in 2007 following her successful battle against cancer. The collective brings together musicians, visual artists, and creative figures who share roots in the punk and alternative worlds. Many of the participating artists are also well-known musicians who express themselves through painting, photography, and mixed media.

The gallery will feature works from Jackie Wasserman, Jonah Nimoy, Chad Smith, Lisa Johnson, F. Scott Schafer, Chali 2na, Lisa Brownlee, Jason Adams, Nicole Freese, Bob Dob, Dennis Jarvis, Brent Broza, Brian Bent and Paul Kobriger.

A Festival Built Around Music, Food, and Beach Culture

Since launching in 2019, BeachLife Festival has built a reputation for capturing the essence of Southern California culture. The event combines live music, culinary experiences, art, and the oceanfront atmosphere that makes the South Bay one of the most recognizable beach communities in the world.

The 2026 lineup is stacked with major acts across multiple genres. Headliners include Duran Duran, The Offspring, James Taylor and His All-Star Band, The Chainsmokers, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Grouplove, Peach Pit and many more.

Beyond the music, the festival grounds will feature extensive food and drink offerings from acclaimed chefs, immersive art installations, brand activations, giveaways, photo moments, boutique shopping, games and interactive experiences. Sustainability initiatives and charity-driven programming are also a core part of the event.

The festival was co-founded by Allen Sanford and Rob Lissner, with Jim Lindberg serving as Brand Director and curator of the SpeakEasy Stage.

“We were lucky enough to grow up in Southern California on the beach, surfing, hanging out with sand between our toes, vibing with friends and living the beach life,” said Sanford. “Our culture celebrates the power and the beauty of the ocean and coastal resources, our waves, wind, smell of sea salt, beaches, sand, and wildlife that call this their home.”
