A new chapter in Downtown Los Angeles nightlife begins this Friday, February 27, as Camille’s at The Bellwether officially opens to the public. Hidden within The Bellwether, the 1,500-capacity venue founded in 2023 by Teragram Presents’ Michael Swier in partnership with Another Planet Entertainment (APE), the new space introduces an intimate disco-meets-warehouse concept designed for late-night energy and curated cultural programming.

Tucked inside The Bellwether’s maze of corridors, Camille’s blends the feel of a secret nightclub with the polish of a luxe lounge. The room is defined by elegant gold accents, a retro stripe mural, and a striking 60-foot marble-topped bar stretching across the north wall, an architectural focal point anchoring the space.

The name and design pay homage to the building’s storied past as Prince’s legendary Glam Slam nightclub. “Camille’s” references The Purple One’s alter ego and his unreleased 1986 album Camille, nodding to a Prince-era legacy that still echoes in the venue’s DNA.

Built for Late-Night Culture and Creative Programming

Camille’s is engineered for flexibility. The space accommodates late-night DJ sets, performance art installations, LGBTQ+ focused parties, corporate functions, and private rentals. Amenities include:

  • A moveable stage with full sound and lighting capabilities

  • Vinyl and digital DJ decks

  • A vibrant green room for VIP guests and performers

The design allows the room to shift seamlessly from high-energy dance floor to curated showcase environment.
