Still thinking about BeachLife Festival that took place May 3 – 5, 2025 in Redondo Beach, on the beach, and how perfectly it captured the best of Southern California. The music, the ocean air, the food, the vibe. Everything was dialed in.

Ziggy Marley
Sublime with Rome lit up the stage with that sun-soaked SoCal energy that never gets old. Trombone Shorty brought the kind of performance that makes you forget about your phone and stay fully locked in. Steel Pulse played a set that felt timeless. G. Love & Special Sauce kept the afternoon buzzing with their laid-back groove. Sugar Ray turned the whole beach into a throwback party, and Ziggy Marley gave everyone a reason to stop what they were doing and just be present for a minute. The Speakeasy Stage was one of the best surprises: intimate, soulful, and packed with raw talent. It felt like a secret tucked into the festival, and some of the best acoustic sets happened right there.

Even with all the action, BeachLife never felt overwhelming. There’s something rare about a festival where you can dance barefoot, eat like you’re at a private chef’s table, and still find moments to breathe it all in. The energy was elevated but laid-back, which is exactly how it should be.
Props to the team behind it, Allen Sanford, Rob Lissner, and Jim Lindberg, for building something that doesn’t feel like a copy of every other festival. From the music to the silent auction for St. Jude, BeachLife had real substance.
If you know, you know. And if you don’t yet, it’s one to put on your radar for next year.
