As the demand for clean, plant-based beauty and wellness products continues to rise, few brands embody the heart of that movement quite like Quinntessentials. Founded by certified herbalist and aromatherapist Julie Quinn, the brand was born from a deep personal journey and shaped by decades of dedication to natural healing. What began as a passion for crafting organic alternatives has evolved into a full collection of thoughtful, high-vibration essentials designed to nurture both body and mind.
Julie created Quinntessentials to seamlessly integrate wellness into daily living—using the purest essential oils and herbs to promote stress relief, skin rejuvenation, and overall balance. Her approach is rooted in simplicity, intention, and deep respect for nature’s healing potential.
The brand’s bestsellers include the Facial Oil ($48), a luxurious, nutrient-dense formula that hydrates and restores skin with a radiant glow. The Facial Toner ($28) refreshes and preps the skin with organic witch hazel, rose water, and helichrysum—a blend that feels as beautiful as it sounds.
Fans also love the Roll-On Oils ($28–$33), infused with calming scents like Bulgarian Rose and Neroli, and paired with real crystal rollerballs for an added energetic touch.
For those who want to bring intention into their movement practice, the Yoga Mat Spray ($16) is a grounding mix of lavender, eucalyptus, and rosemary that keeps your space clean and your energy clear. And when it comes to natural care, Quinntessentials doesn’t stop at skin.
Quinntessentials Hair Oils and Facial Serums are packed with antioxidants and completely free of chemicals—offering a clean, nourishing option for everyday use.
But what truly sets the brand apart is its founder. Julie Quinn isn’t just formulating products—she’s living her purpose, infusing every drop with the knowledge and spirit of over two decades of herbal practice.
We had the chance to chat with Julie to talk about her journey, the philosophy behind Quinntessentials, and what’s next for this intentionally crafted brand.

Quinntessentials CEO Julie Quinn
LA’s The Place: You’ve described your journey as one born from necessity—how did your personal healing process influence the way you formulate your products today?
Julie Quinn: My journey began with a personal need to find products that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. When I realized that almost every commercial product on the market contained harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and ingredients I couldn’t pronounce, I knew I had to make my own natural, organic products. That’s when I turned to the healing power of plants. My healing process deeply influences every product I create—from the ingredients I choose to the intention behind each formulation. Quinntessentials was born to offer solutions that are pure, organic, and gentle on the body, allowing people to feel balanced and rejuvenated without the worry of harsh chemicals.
LATP: What was the first essential oil blend you ever created for yourself, and how has that original formula evolved over time?
Julie: In college, I was a total hippie and gravitated toward patchouli to ground myself. I mixed it with lavender and ylang-ylang, and it became my signature scent. Now, I’m more drawn to high-vibration floral oils like rose, lotus, and vetiver. I still occasionally crave that original blend, and I find it interesting how we’re drawn to scents we need at different points in our lives. Back then, I needed grounding, and now I’m attracted to scents that elevate me spiritually.
As both a certified herbalist and aromatherapist, how do you balance traditional wisdom with modern wellness trends in your product development?
I lean heavily on traditional herbalism and aromatherapy, but I also embrace modern research in wellness. The beauty of combining both is that traditional methods offer deep-rooted knowledge of plants’ healing properties, while modern wellness trends help us stay in tune with what people need today. I’ve seen numerous studies on the effectiveness of herbs and essential oils for everything from sleep to stress and memory. What’s fascinating is how modern science often proves what ancient wisdom already knew—plant wisdom is timeless and meets our ever-evolving needs.
LATP: Many people use essential oils passively, like in diffusers. What are some lesser-known but powerful ways you recommend using them for deeper results?
Julie: While diffusing essential oils is fantastic for creating a mood, I also love using them through targeted application, like applying Roll-On Oils on pulse points to promote emotional balance or healing. Adding a few drops to a warm bath lets the oils absorb directly into the skin, enhancing their therapeutic benefits. When the oils enter your bloodstream through the skin, they work on a deeper level. I created Quinntessentials products with the intention of making it easy for people to incorporate essential oils into their daily lives, from skincare routines to cleaning rituals, all while offering healing benefits.
LATP: How do you determine the “vibration” of an essential oil, and why is that an important factor in your formulations?
Julie: Everything vibrates, including plants and our own energy. The vibration of an essential oil can be measured in megahertz, and this vibrational frequency plays a crucial role in how the oil interacts with our emotional and spiritual energy. Some oils with lower vibrations, like those used for grounding, help uplift us when we’re sick or injured, while higher vibration oils, such as florals, support emotional healing. I choose oils not only for their therapeutic benefits but also for their ability to elevate mood, energy, and overall well-being. This focus on vibration is what allows my products to support both physical and emotional balance.
LATP: Can you share a surprising ingredient or oil you’ve worked with that people might not expect to have profound healing properties?
Julie: Helichrysum is an oil that doesn’t get enough credit. It’s often considered a “luxury oil” due to its price, but its healing properties are extraordinary. It aids in cellular regeneration, reduces the appearance of scars, and promotes deep tissue healing. It’s also great for emotional balance. I include Helichrysum in products like the Helichrysum Facial Oil and Toner, which not only support skin health but also resonate with the spirit. Known as “Everlasting,” I believe in its signature vibration that helps preserve skin and keep us youthful.
LATP: What does your personal daily wellness routine look like—and which of your products play a central role?
Julie: My daily routine is simple yet effective. I start by hydrating with water and a pinch of sea salt, then I oil pull using either my Coconut or Olive Oil Pulling Blend while I make my bed and declutter my space. I follow with a latte made from collagen, coconut milk, functional mushrooms, and rose petal powder. After spitting out the oil pulling blend, I brush my teeth and use a tongue scraper. On some days, I use a dry skin brush. Next, I either shower or relax in the infrared sauna for 40 minutes, where I meditate, sweat, and practice gua sha. Once clean, I apply Face Toner followed by Helichrysum Facial Oil and use a Roll-On Oil (usually Sacred Lotus) for grounding. Throughout the day, I stay focused and take breaks to recharge. I also pay close attention to my diet to keep my autoimmune symptoms under control, sticking to organic, clean foods and doing periodic cleanses. Wellness to me is about small, consistent steps toward mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health each day.
LATP: In a world full of greenwashing, how do you ensure transparency and integrity in sourcing your ingredients?
Julie: Transparency and integrity are foundational to Quinntessentials. I work directly with trusted suppliers who share our commitment to organic and sustainable farming practices. I personally verify each ingredient to ensure that it meets our high standards. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with small, family-run farms and certified organic producers worldwide. I’ve been sourcing organic essential oils for over 20 years and have developed a deep understanding of what high-quality oils should smell and feel like.
LATP: What’s one myth about essential oils or natural skincare you wish more people understood or questioned?
Julie: A common myth is that natural skincare is always safe and gentle for everyone. While natural products are often gentler than their chemical counterparts, essential oils are powerful and should be used with care. It’s important to understand their potency and how to dilute them properly, especially for sensitive skin. I emphasize safe, effective usage in my workshops and corporate events to help people understand the right ways to incorporate essential oils into their routines.
LATP: How do you see the role of emotional healing and intention in the use of aromatherapy—and how does that influence how you guide others to use your blends?
Julie: Emotional healing and intention are at the heart of aromatherapy. Essential oils have the ability to deeply affect our emotions, from relaxation to clarity and focus. I tend to emphasize the importance of intention when guiding others to use my products—whether it’s using a Roll-On Oil before meditation or spritzing a Room & Body Spray with a specific purpose in mind. The connection we have with the oils amplifies their effects. Aromatherapy is about aligning the mind, body, and spirit to create balance, and it’s a powerful tool I love incorporating into my yoga classes and daily life for an added layer of healing for the nervous system.
