The TASTE AWARDS are the premier awards celebrating the best in Food, Fashion, Health, Travel, Sports, and Lifestyle programs across various platforms, including Television, Film, Online, Podcasts, and Radio, for 16 years now. Often dubbed as “the Tastys,” the awards have garnered comparisons to the Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars, reflecting their significance in the industry.
The event attracts a star-studded lineup, with appearances from celebrities, producers, and executives from leading networks and platforms such as the Food Network, Bravo, HBO, Hulu, and many more. But you don’t have to be a huge celebrity. Independent producers and talent are welcome to submit their work.
The ceremony takes place in Los Angeles, where winners receive their trophies or medallions at a red carpet event filled with glamour and excitement. Segments of the winning works are showcased during the ceremony, offering attendees a glimpse of the excellence being honored.
Following the awards, an after-reception provides opportunities for networking, photography, and interviews, all while guests mingle over wine and cocktails. Portions of the ceremony are filmed and broadcast on local television stations, reaching millions of viewers. Additionally, winners may have their work featured on the Taste Awards television series and cable on-demand series, further extending their recognition.
The TASTE AWARDS also present Lifetime Achievement Awards and other Special Awards to individuals who have made valuable contributions to the industry. These awards highlight the long-term impact and innovation within the fields of food, fashion, health, and lifestyle.
To be considered for a TASTE AWARD, entries must prominently feature content related to food, fashion, design, action sports, exercise, or travel. Nominations can be submitted by any associate of the program, including hosts, producers, networks, and agents. Eligible programs must have been originally broadcast or released between October 2022 and October 2023.
The submission process involves completing an entry form and providing a link to the content for review by the judges. An entry fee is required, and nominations without it will not be considered. Each entry can be submitted in up to four different categories, with a separate entry form required for each additional category.
Entries must be in English, except for the Best Foreign Language Program, and international television or radio programs not aired in the U.S. or Canada must be entered into the International category. The submitter must ensure all rights, licenses, and clearances for audio, film, or video content have been secured. This includes appearance releases for individuals featured in the submission. The TASTE AWARDS, TasteTV, and related entities do not take responsibility for proof of rights, placing the burden on the submitter to guarantee compliance with all legal requirements.
By participating, the submitter agrees to indemnify the TASTE AWARDS and its partners against any legal claims arising from the submission. This process ensures that only the most deserving and legally compliant entries are celebrated at the TASTE AWARDS, maintaining the high standards and prestige associated with this renowned event.
Regular Submissions for the 16th Annual Awards are open through September 6th for content first released between October 2023 and October 2024.
