Not only is the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign a great spot to capture your memories in Sin City, but the sign also has a long history that is no doubt linked to Vegas’ success over the years. The “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign was erected in 1959 after Betty Willis gifted it to the city. If you get to the sign by car, you can access the sign through the parking area located to the south of Las Vegas Boulevard.

If you would much rather walk, the sign is located less than 1-mile south of Mandalay Bay. If you’ve chosen a casino resort on the Strip for your stay, getting to the sign is a lot easier than imagined. You can take a monorail or a free tram but you will have to walk the remainder of the route to get to the sign.
