Summer is over and it’s time to get in the swing of the new season! The Fall season (and Halloween) are here. Life has been a bit of a challenge for so many. It’s important to enjoy the little things in life and treat yourself.

To kick off the festive season, Ron Barcelo Rum has shared some of their favorite Fall and Halloween Ron Barcelo recipes, to give you some delicious and exciting cocktail ideas for when family and friends come together, or just a special night with your significant other.

Barceló Imperial Onyx ($46)
Barcelo Imperial Onyx was recently awarded a Double Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This is one of the highest honors for a spirit brand at one of the most prestigious spirits competitions in the world.

A rich blend of rums aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks with a “heavy char” grade (other premium rums are aged in casks containing a “medium-light char” grade). Filtered through onyx stones, which give Barceló Imperial Onyx the mysticism that characterizes this rum of unprecedented intensity. Amber mahogany color, with a highly structured body and a grand character.  A super-premium sipping rum that is best enjoyed straight-up or over ice so as to fully appreciate its exceptionally robust taste. Vampire in Manhattan

Ron Barcelo Rum cocktail recipe

2 oz. Barceló Imperial Onyx Rum
1 tsp. of sweet vermouth
2 dashes of Angostura® bitters
Garnish: Luxardo® Maraschino cherry

In a mixing glass with ice, combine Barceló Imperial Onyx, sweet vermouth, and Angostura® bitters.  Stir until well-chilled and then pour into a chilled Manhattan or martini glass.  Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Rum Apple

Rum Apple 2 oz. Barceló Imperial  1 oz. Calvados 1 oz. sweet vermouth Garnish: slice of Granny Smith apple In a shaker with ice, combine Barceló Imperial Rum, Calvados, and sweet vermouth.  Shake well and then strain into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith apple. ¼ inch thick slice on the rim.

2 oz. Barceló Imperial
1 oz. Calvados
1 oz. sweet vermouth
Garnish: slice of Granny Smith apple

In a shaker with ice, combine Barceló Imperial Rum, Calvados, and sweet vermouth.  Shake well and then strain into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith apple. ¼ inch thick slice on the rim.

Pumpkin Daiquiri

Barcelo Rum Pumpkin Daquari

2 oz. Barceló Gran Añejo Dark Series
½ oz. St. Elizabeth® Allspice Dram
¼ oz. ginger liqueur
¼ oz. simple syrup
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. pumpkin purée
Garnish: orange twist 

In a shaker with ice, combine Barceló Gran Añejo Dark Series, St. Elizabeth® Allspice Dram, ginger liqueur, simple syrup, lemon juice and pumpkin puree.  Shake and strain into a chilled couple glasses.  Garnish with an orange twist.

Barceló Imperial Rum, Calvados and sweet vermouth.  Shake well and then strain into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith apple. ¼ inch thick slice on the rim.

Passion Fruit Cocktail

Ron Barcelo Rum Passion Fruit cocktail recipe

1 oz. Barceló Gran Añejo Dark Series Rum
1 oz. Montenegro® amaro
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
¾ oz. passion fruit syrup
¼ oz. orgeat syrup.
Garnish: fresh passion fruit  

In a shaker with crushed ice, shake Barceló Gran Añejo Dark Series Rum, Montenegro® amaro, fresh lime juice, passion fruit syrup and orgeat syrup.  Pour into a rocks glass and top with more crushed ice if necessary.  Garnish with fresh passion fruit.

Barceló Gran Añejo: ($24)
A blend of rums, aged in ex-bourbon casks, ranging in age up to 6 years.  A rich, golden amber-colored rum with notes of sweet spice, mocha, toffee, and coffee bean. Awarded a gold medal at the International Rum Festival. Can be consumed straight or on-the-rocks or mixed in premium cocktails that are made with only the best and freshest ingredients.

Barceló Imperial ($35)
A result of the finest selection of hand-picked cane in the Caribbean. Awarded a Gold Medal and also the coveted “Best In Category” title at the 2008 International Cane Spirits Festival, twice-chosen “The Best Rum in the World” by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago, Imperial is the first rum to achieve the rating of 97 out of 100.
