Many individuals enjoy the autumn season. It’s like the half-brother of spring. The leaves change color, and the landscape comes to life with vibrant foliage. The holiday season is approaching, and with it comes its own set of anticipation. If you’re relocating to somewhere like Albany on the East coast, you’ll get to experience all the changes of seasons. You’ll also be relieved to learn that housing costs are low when compared to the rest of the country in the Northeast region. While the national median house sale price is $350,000, the average median cost for Albany houses for sale is $220,000.

And if you are relocating to a seasonal state, there’s a lot to love about the fall season, whether it’s the return of boots and jackets, Halloween celebrations, or simply relaxing back and watching football. Fall is an opportunity for us fashionistas to improve our style game in more ways than one. The colder temperatures allow us to layer more comfortably without sweating through our clothes, allowing us to personalize our outfits. There are so many ways to exhibit one’s particular style when it comes to men’s fall fashion.

Outerwear

Outerwear is the season’s defining garment category, and it can bring balance to your ensemble (as well as throw it off completely), so knowing what jackets work with what is key in establishing a great lineup of men’s fall fashion necessities. The advantage of layering a jacket in terms of functionality is that the trapped air between the clothes acts as an insulator, keeping you warm. For the purpose of brevity, we’ll simply touch on fall textiles and textures briefly.

Tops

Who can blame them if the traditional button-down is the workhorse of many men’s fall fashion wardrobes? Oxford cloth is a woven fabric that looks like plain canvas but has yarn strands woven together rather than individually. Oxford cloth button-downs are made of oxford cloth, which is unusual. People often mistakenly refer to any button-down shirt as an OCBD, but this isn’t totally correct. A few OCBDs in colors like white, gray, olive, or navy are a must-have for any man’s fall fashion outfit.

Jeans

Most guys know to get their professional clothes from a trusty tailor. They know their tuxedo pants need to fit properly and should be hemmed at just the right length.

However, casual clothes don’t get that much attention and often fall by the wayside. And of all casual garments, jeans are the most improperly worn and incorrectly fitted item in a man’s closet.

When shopping for blue jeans, remember that they should sit comfortably on your upper hip without a belt. The legs must also be long enough to break toward the hem, which should gently touch the top of your foot.

Hoodies

Hoodies are a powerful move because we all have days when we value comfort over aesthetics. That isn’t to say you can’t look beautiful while also being comfortable. Get some hoodies with a slimmer shape that aren’t too tight but not too boxy. Hoodies are sometimes misunderstood as being intrinsically unfashionable, however, this isn’t always the case. In a casual atmosphere, layering a lighter hoodie under a jacket or coat might look excellent. For a warm yet trendy top layer, pair it with a bomber, work coat, or trucker jacket.
