Dry herb vaporizers are the new talk of the town in smoking cannabinoids because it’s not actually “smoking”. You don’t have to experience the irritation of the smoke filling your lungs. A vaporizer for dry herbs heats and evaporates your product without combusting it and lets you draw vapour instead of smoke that contains many carcinogens from the combustion. It’s a unique way of enjoying your weed without having to deal with joints, bowls, and edibles. It works by simply loading your vaporizer’s chamber or oven with the flower or plant matter. You heat it up with your charged pen and take a hit.

Especially for first-timers, your first session with your vaporizer may not be the best one you will ever experience. From there, you will have to learn and understand how to work with your pen to achieve the best experience. To have the perfect experience with your vaporizer for dry herbs, it’s important to understand that there are certain tricks and reminders you need to know in order to create the perfect vaping setting for you. This may differ among different kinds of vaporizers, but here are some of the common tips that would be very helpful in vaping weed:

  • Grind it well

One important thing in vaping weed or dry herbs is getting a good grinder or grinding it well as possible as you can. Inconsistent cooking when heating starts may occur when your cannabis flower is unevenly grounded. It’s important to make sure you grind your herbs at an even size. The characteristic of a good grind is one that is not packed too tightly and enables heat to come into contact with more surface area.

  • Find the right temperature

Find your sweet spot with temperatures by starting at the lowest temperature (170°C) and working your way to the perfect temperature that makes full draws with the best flavours and effects possible. It’s also important to know your product since the perfect temperature mainly depends on the terpenes and cannabinoids found in the strain of your products. High-THC with low-CBD found in the strain is heated best with lower temperature. High-CBD with Low-THC in the strain requires a higher temperature for heating.

  • Use the proper weed

Make sure your weed is properly dried and cured. Using slightly moist and sticky weed makes it harder to vaporize and would take more time before you can draw. Also, a moist and sticky weed may affect the flavour you get from your product.

  • Stir them halfway

Redistributing the dry herbs halfway in your session helps. Stir them to ensure that all your dry herb in your oven or chamber is exposed to heat. A small thin too may help in stirring the dry herbs without knocking some of the products out of the oven or chamber.

  • Keep your vaporizer clean

An important reminder to sustain the perfect experience with your dry herb vaporizer is keeping it clean. A clean pen is essential for a long-lasting pen. Cleaning your pen prevents it from being clogged with the residue that is left in your pen chamber or oven. It is advised to be cleaned at least once a day. A clogged airflow will majorly affect your vape and its quality until it becomes immediately unusable. Use q-tips or cotton swabs with isopropyl alcohol and clean it every after a session to maintain its functionality and improve your vaporizer’s longevity.
