The first-ever ”Lavish Brunch” took place at The Grove on the iconic cobblestone street on a beautiful summer morning on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in partnership with Lillet, Uber and Lavazza. Guests arrived to find a beautifully-set 150-foot long table for 189 guests for the first-ever “Lavish Brunch”, a lively, sumptuous culinary experience by Chef Dominique Ansel.

As guests arrived, at they enjoyed a summer morning cold brew coffee by Lavazza as they hopped on the famed trolley for a quick ride to the grand table.

Chef Dominique Ansel.

World-renowned Chef Dominique Ansel prepared a sumptuous menu of brunch fare from his restaurant 189 by Dominique Ansel. It was everything you could imagine in a dream brunch!

Guests enjoyed freshly-baked croissants, soft scrambled eggs, bacon “au poivre,” vegetable crudité and succulent lobster tails, as they sipped on bubbles and brunch cocktails courtesy of Lillet.

Says Chef Ansel: “Brunch is my favorite meal because there are no rules. As long as you have eggs—in this case, my favorite soft scrambled eggs—then you can also serve things like butter-roasted lobster and thick-cut bacon au poivre, with fresh-baked brioche, Beurre de Baratte from France, honeycomb and farmers market fruits and veggies. It’s the one meal where you should really spoil yourself, and we wanted to do just that with the menu today.” Mission accomplished!

All 150 attendees were greeted by Chef Dominique and treated to a sweet surprise, his signature Cronut® pastry, to take home. The special Blueberry Lemon Cake Cronut®, filled with homemade blueberry jam and creamy lemon cake ganache, is available exclusively at The Grove in August.

“The Lavish Brunch” is the latest in one-of-a-kind experiences at The Grove presented by Citi.
