Foodies, ex-pats, and scenesters alike will find a lot to love at The Pikey in West Hollywood. This gastropub is both an inviting restaurant and lively hotspot right on the Sunset Strip, serving strong drinks and classic British entrees.
At its foundation, the Pikey is a traditional English pub, with burgundy walls, red leather booths, and subtle lighting. Visitors can take a seat in the dining room or the pub room, and larger parties can reserve the Maharaja room for private events.

But this isn’t a musty old hangout dishing out mushy peas and spotted dick! Chef Robert Flaherty brings his notable pedigree supporting Chef April Bloomfield at the Spotted Pig and the Breslin in New York to spotlight whole animals and the year-round fresh produce that California is known for. The Pikey serves free range non GMO, certified humane meat and poultry.
The menu too includes traditional pub fare, including the best fish and chips this side of the Atlantic, and you can look forward to dishes highlighted by Indian flavors and spices, as you might expect from a restaurant highlighting the United Kingdom’s continental history.

The Sunday roast is a particular treat, featuring all the British fixings, including Yorkshire pudding and stuffing.
But Chef Flaherty is making the most of California’s bounty and branching out into seasonal specialties, with nods to the British palate. The menu includes:
Hot Chicken Bites with Bread and Butter Pickles
Griddle Burger with Green Sauce, Feta, Pickled Onion, and Chips
Smoked Lamb Ribs with Mango Lime Chutney and Vinegar Glaze
Fresh Baked Focaccia with Charred Eggplant
Manchurian Cauliflower with Red Pepper Jam and Crispy Quinoa
Lentil and Sweet Potato Cakes with Raisin Chutney and Raita
You can’t have a gastropub without drinks, and the Pikey’s bar pours beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails for all imbibers. In keeping with the Pikey’s commitment to seasonal fare, the cocktail menu always features the classics, albeit with a SoCal-inspired light, summery twist. And with names like the Twiggy, Big Ben, the Bloke, and Kate Moss, you’ll enjoy ordering these mixed drinks too.

The wine list includes the essential international vintages, as well as California’s renowned labels, and you can take your pick of both draught and bottled beers. The list of spirits covers all the UK essentials, such as gin and single-malt Scotch, as well as bourbon, whiskey, tequila, vodka, cognac, absinthe, and apertifs.
And kicking off July 8th, Chef Flaherty will be firing up the grill for a new grilling series launching in the Gnome Room Monday and Tuesday nights, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
