If you’re a lover of classic Hollywood, this is a rare and special art exhibition by the legendary photographer Douglas Kirkland, who’s taken some of the most iconic photographs in Hollywood history.
The exhibition will feature a compilation of the most prominent images captured throughout Kirkland’s 50-year history. These include shots from his collection of books including, “Light Yearsâ€, “Iconsâ€, “Legendsâ€, “Body Storiesâ€, “An Evening with Marilynâ€, the best-selling “James Cameron’s Titanicâ€, “Freeze Frame†and “Coco Chanel, Three Weeks†and Kirkland’s 2013 monograph.
Kirkland has worked with nearly every iconic star one can imagine from John Lennon to Marilyn Monroe and Jack Nicholson to Nicole Kidman.

Kirkland joined Look Magazine in his early twenties, and later Life Magazine during the golden age of 60’s/70’s photojournalism.

Among his assignments were essays on Greece, Lebanon and Japan as well as fashion and celebrity work, photographing Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlene Dietrich among others.

Through the years, Douglas Kirkland has worked on the sets of over one hundred motion pictures. Among them, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kidâ€, “2001 A Space Odysseyâ€, “Sound of Music”, “Out of Africaâ€, “Titanic,†“Moulin Rouge,†“Australia” and “The Great Gatsby,†Baz Luhrmann’s film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.

Kirkland, who is considered one of the most respected photographers in the industry, will make special in-gallery appearances throughout opening weekend Friday, April 28 from 6-8pm, Saturday, April 29 from 1-4pm and Sunday, April 30 from 1-4pm.
