One of the best ways to get a great deal on a warm destination holiday is to purchase your tickets last minute. You can save all kinds of money doing this, get some fabulous free upgrades, and be on your way to a relaxing holiday. With that said, getting ready at the last minute can be a bit stressful. So how do you get yourself swimsuit ready in less than 24 hours? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered with these handy tips!

Splurge on a Great Swimsuit

When it comes to clothing there are plenty of times where you can afford to be “cheap” if you will and not worry so much about the quality. A bathing suit is not one of those times! Think about it, you’ll likely be spending the majority of your vacation in your swimsuit, so that means you want it to fit great, feel comfortable, and look amazing. This is not the time to be cheap.

Think of your bathing suit as an investment piece. After all, if you look after it then it should last you for many seasons. Opt for a well-known designer that specializes in offering high-quality swimsuits. Kenneth Cole swimsuits are a great example of this, as they are known to be well-made and stand up year after year. That and the fact they are trendy and stylish.

Of course, it goes without saying that you’ll want to try your swimsuit on before packing it just to be sure the fit is perfect.

Time to Make Cuts

Obviously 24 hours doesn’t give you much time, so there is no chance to lose those pesky last couple of pounds. What you can do though is cut out a few foods and drinks that do cause you to retain water and bloat. By cutting them out for 24 hours there’s a good chance you’ll see a difference.

Items to cut out completely for the 24 hours are carbs, alcohol, and sodium. Instead pump your body full of water so you won’t retain water and it will make sure your metabolism is working as it should. Be sure to eat raw veggies as much as possible during those 24 hours as they work as a detox. A probiotic would be helpful if you happen to feel gassy or unsettled. It may even be your nerves and excitement causing your tummy problems.

Hit Up the Tanning Salon

Even though you’ve got just 24 hours, that’s plenty of time to hit up the tanning salon. Opt for airbrush tanning which provides you with instant results that last for at least a few days. Sporting bronzed skin on the beach will make you look and feel great, and because it’s airbrushing it’s also safe. You’ll find it will gradually fade over the course of one week.  As it starts to fade you could always use a sunless bronzing or tanner product. Just make sure you apply it evenly.

Hair Removal Tips

When it comes to hair removal you’ve got a couple of options. Waxing will give you results for at least one to two weeks, which will usually cover your whole vacation. This should be done at least one day before you plan on wearing your bathing suit in case you get any redness or irritation. Apply a skin cooling gel such as aloe vera after waxing to help prevent any irritation from happening.

If waxing isn’t for you, then a razor is a convenient option. Be sure to use a moisturizing shave gel that has Vitamin E in it to soothe your skin. It’s best to use a brand new razor and pre-soak in a hot shower or bath to soften the hair first. You can apply lotion after shaving to ensure your legs and bikini line stay smooth and soft.

Glam Up Your Feet

Of course you don’t want to forget your feet since they will either be bare or in sandals during your vacation. You can give yourself an at-home pedicure quickly and on the cheap with just a few simple steps. Start by soaking your feet in a warm foot bath, follow up with exfoliating the bottoms of the feet. Next you can apply a base coat of polish to your toenails, two coats of color, and then a top coat to protect it. When the polish is dry, apply a good quality moisturizer to the bottoms and tops of your feet.
