In honor of the 88th Academy Awards, Roger Neal hosted the Roger Neal Style Hollywood Pre-Oscar charity benefit on the penthouse of the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills.
Sixteen Oscar nominees attended the Ultimate Beauty & Couture Suite, including Love Larson, Benjamin Cleary, Serena Armitage, Alan Wenkus, Rich McBride, Nicole Rocklin, Blye Faust, Ed Guiney, among others. In addition, another 200 stars came to this extravagant event.
The event benefited the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health.
The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health was created just weeks after John’s sudden passing in October, 2003, due to an acute aortic dissection. Started by his widow, Amy Yasbeck and their family for the purpose of receiving donations in honor of John’s life, the foundation is focused on thoracic aortic disease education, support, and research.
Roger Neal stated that “We are not a gifting suite.” They simply gift stars for coming and supporting their charities with a gift bag this time of around $23k, including a $10k stay at the Belleek Castle in Ireland.
For the past 20 years, Roger Neal’s Oscar events have had no less than 3 nominees and at least 8 stars wear designs from the clients in his suite to the Oscars and to major Oscar after-parties.
