GQ’s Men of the Year Party took place this year at LA’s most historic hideaway in Hollywood – the Chateau Marmont. Among those celebrated in the 2012 Men of the Year issue are Quentin Tarantino, Channing Tatum and Ben Affleck, just to name a few. Not only were handsome men and lovely ladies in abundance at the event, but Grey Goose Vodka was also in abundance.
In honor of GQ Magazine’s coveted Men of the Year Party, GREY GOOSE Vodka created a mix of virile cocktails to serve the celebrated leading men. The featured Grey Goose Negroski was a more stout direction than last year’s classic martini to reflect this year’s robust breadth of winners.
The heady Grey Goose Cherry Noir Celebration (GREY GOOSE Cherry Noir flavored vodka, St. Germain liqueur, lemon juice, pomegranate juice, champagne, garnished with a dark cherry) mirrored the sexier side of the evening and was a favorite among the leading ladies in attendance. Speaking of musical leading ladies, GQ Men of the Year cover girl Rihanna wore a red dress that matched the featured Grey Goose Cherry Noir Celebration.
Grey Goose Vodka has been a longtime friend to the GQ’s Men of the Year Party. It’s hosted the bar at GQ’s Men of the Year Party for the last five years. Attendees this year included Ben Affleck, Chase Crawford, Jamie Foxx, Rihanna, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rashida Jones, Seth McFarlane, and many more.
The Negroski (GREY GOOSE vodka, Noilly Prat, Rouge, aperol, garnished with an orange zest twist) is a vodka variation of the Negroni, which is usually made with gin. Invented in Florence, Italy, the Negroni made a name for itself in the early 1900’s and continues to be an elegant cocktail choice today. Variations of the drink are served at top tier restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago Beverly Hills. The recipe would be fitting addition to any coverage of the star-studded party.
